Hotel Atlantica Bay

The Atlantica Bay is located on the oceanfront, 6 miles away from Limassol, at the edge of the summer resort along Akrotiri bay. This is one of the most peaceful places of the bay, without shopping centres or restaurants. Few constructions. The Mediterranean nature is all over. To reach the hotel from Larnaca airport (located 37 miles away), you will need 40 minutes.

The hotel is located in a remote peaceful area. Sometimes, the hotel organises shows, with its two animators per season. Three quarters of the clients are English people, followed by German. There are local buses that pass by the front of the Atlantica. They serve Limassol and the parts of the bay abounding in bars and restaurants. The hotel is reserved for adults.

Built in 1980 and renovated in 1997, the Atlantica bay offers a total of 201 rooms on 4 levels. Located on a side of a hill, close to an archeological digging site - the architecture goes perfectly with the landscape - not too much constructions, for the most pleasurable view in this part of the bay. Its location overlooking the Mediterranean sea, the well maintained garden, planted with trees and the very beautiful pool shaped like a lagoon give the place a lot of charm and privacy. The decoration is elegant in all the rooms: teak furniture, large bay-windows open to the sea, comfortable steats in warm colours. The hotel is equipped with fitness facilities (body, face treatments, massages, phytotherapy) and an upscale fitness room. The animation is very soft.

The 201 rooms, all spacious, offer an idyllic view of the Mediterranean sea (front or side) or the interior of the property (for 33 of the larger ones that offer a ''sea view''). The wooden furniture and the colours of the fabrics (beige, carmin) make them pleasant. All are carpeted, equipped with satellite TV (12 channels), a direct telephone line, a free safe-box, a bedside radio, adjustable air-conditioning, an empty mini-bar, a large balcony and a bathroom with bathtub, hair-dryer and towels for the pool. Nice sundecks and a lounge area in the very nice suites.

The generous meals are served buffet-style, inspired by the Mediterranean cuisine. A few thematic evenings (Italian, Cypriot cuisine, barbecue...) in the main restaurant, recently renovated. The food is delicious, the service is elegant. The dining room is spacious, with a high ceiling and fresh (paving, cane chairs, wall mosaics, large crystal chandeliers) and is prolonged by a small sundeck. Nicely open toward the sundeck, the a la carte restaurant offers a pool view. The floors are a combination of marble and carpet: petticoat chairs and white tableclothes. Another a la carte option, for lunch and dinner: the very nice small tavern installed on the beach. The hotel offers 3 bars including the tavern.

You have to cross over the road overlooked by the Atlantica Bay or pass through a tunnel from the hotel (about 165 feet on foot) to access the beach which is about one mile long, extremely quiet and not crowded. There is also a tavern and small terraces on the different levels of the hotel. The clear water, the fine, grey sand, the panorama and the numerous options for water sports make the picture complete.
