Hotel NH City Center

The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam, overlooking the famous Singel canal, some minutes away by walk from the very popular and busy Leidse Place.

Cross your fingers before you are given your keys because you can either enjoy a view on the canal or on a wall. It is haphazard chance!

After climbing a few steps, a high-ceiling hall awaits guests in a pretty classy wood and white decor. At the bottom, there is an office area with an Internet connected computer which allows you to keep in touch with the external world. Very pleasant canal view. Apples and sweets at the front desk. Beside, the large classy lounge under a glass roof is a pleasant place for a drink.

Large green corridors lead to quite small but nicely decorated modern rooms. Red and white walls, the same for the sheets, plus parquet floor. In the rooms are a kettle for preparing tea, a desk for working and a wardrobe so as not to crease clothes.
Superior rooms have a half-floor with a sitting area downstairs and a bedroom upstairs. Bathrooms with shower or black and white bathtub and a hair dryer.
The hotel has a room for people with disability.

A one floor bar, the Gerzonis, serves snacks and beer in a classic decor with a relaxed atmosphere. Wooden tables and old Amsterdam photos on the wall. Breakfast is served from 7.00am to 10.00am in a long, large room. The greediest will find substantial options with cooked meat, bread, and cheese for ?17 (£13). Should you wish , you can skip lunch.
