Hotel Grande-Bretagne

The hotel is located directly on one of the main squares in the capital city, the Constitution Square, or, as the Greeks call it, Syntagma Square. From the hotel, you can easily go on foot to all the most beautiful places in the city To reach the Acropolis, you have to go south, crossing the Plaka district. Walking at a good pace, it will take you about fifteen minutes to get there.

The Grande Bretagne is a very luxurious hotel in the heart of Athens. The spa center has existed since 2003. It offers a complete program of treatments and a sauna with various aromas, depending on your mood ... The treatment procedures are held between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., and the facilities are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The first stone of the future Grande-Bretagne was placed in 1842. Designed by a Danish architect, it was intended to be the sumptuous residence of Adonis Dimitriou, a wealthy Greek. It became a hotel in 1874. Renovated between 2001 and 2003, the building now houses 321 rooms spread over 7 floors. Classical atmosphere and art deco design rule over the hotel. The living spaces are extremely pleasant. Since 2003, a very well equipped spa centre has been opened in the basement, welcoming the hotel's customers.

The rooms, lavishly decorated, include satellite television, telephone for direct international dialling and air conditioning. All the bathrooms are equipped with a bathtub and a hair dryer, and the decoration is based on marble.

The main restaurant (common for both parts of the hotel) is a famous dining place in the area. The hotel is located near the Greek Parliament, so many politicians come to have lunch at noon, under a ceiling of handmade glass that is very beautiful. The cuisine is mainly Greek and international.
