RestThe Grecian Bay is a luxury hotel located on the verge of a pleasant beach. Its imposing size never casts a shadow on the tranquility or privacy of the place. Because of its numerous facilities for relaxation and sports, it is a perfect place for those running away from organised leisure activities.
The hotel is located on the oceanfront, in Grecian Bay. Located a few hundreds feet away from downtown and the fishing port of Ayia Napa, an important summer resort turned towards nightlife and leisure on fine sandy beaches. To reach the hotel from Larnaca airport (located 24 miles away), allow a 30-minute drive.
The animation is light.
Built in 1978, the Grecian Bay offers a total of 269 rooms and 2 suites housed in two 5 level buildings. Though quite imposing, they are rather elegant and well maintained. The hallway is entirely made of marble and leads to perfectly decorated lounging rooms, which are however far from an easy-going summer spirit (carpet, winter colours) and Mediterranean inspiration. The hotel is notable, however, for the beautiful outdoor area that is composed by the exotic garden, with plenty of trees, and the large pool shaped like a trefoil. As for leisure and sports, there are lots of quality services offered: a state-of-the-art fitness room, a centre for treatments and massages, three tennis courts and lots of water sports on the beach.
The standard rooms - comfortable - offer a beautiful sea view (frontal or lateral) or overlook the inland (correct view). The wooden furniture is of a good quality and elegant, even if a little old-looking, the floor is covered with a heavy carpet. All rooms are equipped with a satellite TV with lots of channels, a direct telephone line, adjustable air-conditioning, well-filled mini-bar, a large floral balcony with a small table and two chairs and a large bathroom with bathtub and towels for the pool. Room service 24/7.
Meals are served buffet-style or à la carte (traditional and international cuisine) in a light and fresh room. The decoration, rather rustic, brings a local warm atmosphere to the place. There are lots of places available on the sundeck, with a view of the pool and the gardens. You can also take your meals à la carte in a Cypriot tavern serving good local cuisine with a succession of mezzes, and in a fish restaurant which freshness is guaranteed. In the evening, you have access to a more private restaurant that serves French and international cuisine. This restaurant offers a wide selection of wines where French grands crus rub elbows with local wines. There are also 3 bars.
The Grecian Bay offers an ideal access to a beautiful fine sandy beach. Lots of deckchairs and sunshades are available for its guests. The beach bar that serves simple courses is few steps away from the beach. All you have to do is dive into the turquoise waters, enjoy the panorama of the Ayia Napa fishing port and practice your favorite water sport (small private company available on the supervised beach).
