Hotel Nissi Beach

The Nissi Beach hotel is located at the entrance of Ayia Napa (1 mile from the city centre), a huge summer resort focusing on night life and relaxation on fine sandy beach. The hotel directly overlooks one of the most renown beaches, Nissi Bays'. From Larnaca airport (25 miles away), allow a 30 minute drive.

The animation is light: no shows in the evening.

The first hotel built in the summer resort (in 1972), the Nissi Beach enjoys the best location: not less than 247 acres facing the sea. The beautiful Mediterranean garden, with a difference in height, where you can read on a bench, admire the birds in the birdcages or isolate yourself in the shade of trees, illustrates this search for quality. The building itself (104 rooms spread on 4 levels), is an example of harmonious modern architecture, playing with light and uncluttered spaces. It is furnished in a quite elegant contemporary style. 166 bunglows (individual or gathered in small buildings facing the sea) make the welcoming services complete. As for leisure, a state-of-the-art fitness centre welcomes you. Kids are entertained and supervised all day long, including at the pool.

The standard rooms are comfortable and offer a unique view of the sea and the gardens. They are carpeted and fitted out with light-coloured wooden furniture and bright fabrics (ochre, blue, yellow). All rooms are equipped with a satellite TV with lots of channels, a direct telephone line, adjustable air-conditioning, a well-filled mini-bar, a large floral balcony with a small table and two chairs and a particularly large bathroom with a bathtub and a make-up mirror. The room-service allows you to order meals up to 10.30pm. The bungalows offer a beautiful sundeck (with deckchairs) facing the sea, but a little too exposed to other glances.

Meals are served as generous buffets (5 times a week) or à la carte for the rest of the time. The traditional, international and French cuisine (menu) is served in the shade of a wooden veranda overlooking the gardens, or in a large room with a more private and plain decor (where dinner is served), also extended by a sundeck. If you want to have lunch à la carte, a very simple tavern serves excellent specialities: you get here going a small path that borders the beach. Six bars serve salads or sandwiches along the beach.

Turquoise water, 1,600 feet of golden fine sand, small rocky peninsula, maritime vegetation and small dunes, Nissi Bay is very pleasant beach. A water sports centre gives you access to all the activities you want. Six bars are spread out along the small cove. The only bad point: this small haven has a price: the one you will need to pay to enjoy the deckchairs and sunshades.
