Hotel Bangtao Beach Resort

The establishment is located on the Bay of Bangtao, also called Laguna Beach. It is approximately fourty minutes away from the airport by car. To get to Phuket Town, you should expect a half an hour ride to cover the 15.5 miles that separate the hotel from the town.

The Bangtao Beach Resort and Spa belongs to the Best Western Premier hotel chain. You will find a variety of shops located in the surroundings of the hotel.
The hotel does not have an boat club but you will find some near the beach. It offers a variety of activities and especially sailing and kayaking.

The Bangtao Beach Resort needs a slight renovation but the reception here is very warm. The external concrete facade is not very neat. The entrance hall is already nicer because it is very spacious even if it lacks some cheerfulness. Three lounge areas are located in front of the reception with maroon wicker sofas, adorned with orange cushions. The reception is built-in on the wall, behind a clear wooden counter.
The establishment has two rather nice pools. There are dolphin shaped fountains arranged around. You can also see drawings of dolphins on the floor of the pool. The place is nice, however it is a bit kitsch.
The Bangtao has a spa which belongs the Thai Chakras Spa chain. Four massage rooms are gathered in a calm and gentle location. A small boutique allows you to take with you the products used by the masseuses. You can especially enjoy the pleasures of the traditional thai massage!

There are 243 rooms distributed in two different ways. The first set are gathered in two units and only one level, the second set are scattered in the garden, as small traditional Thai pavilions. The decor here is rather simple, but it still remains elegant. The walls and the white floor make a good contrast with the furniture and the clear wood ornaments. They all have a spacious balcony or a terrace for those on the ground floor. Amenities: television, air conditioning, safe, mini-bar with tea and coffee set, direct international line and room service from 10.30 am to 10 pm. As for the bathroom, there are no surprises but here, cleanliness is respected. A hair dryer, robes and welcoming products are available.

The Bagtao Beach Resort has two restaurants. The Jumba is a restaurant a la carte for lunch and dinner. It offers international cuisine, Thai cuisine, barbecue or even seafood. The furniture is wooden, placed under a pergola. The place is nice but it can be noisy sometimes. There is no special decoration. The Beach Restaurant serves the three meals of the day but this time as a buffet. Additionally, it is located inside the room open to the outside. It has a beautiful view of the sea, however it is rather dull. Finally, in case of thirst, come to the Lobby Bar from 4 pm to 1 am.

Even if the wooden deckchairs are not placed right on the sand, the hotel is located right in front of the beach. The deckchairs are placed on the grass of the hotel but it seems like their number is a bit short for the number of guests in the hotel. The beach is slightly crowded but it is not very noisy. It is covered with sand and the water is not dirty but a bit cloudy. On the other hand, the bay is sheltered and the current is not strong.
