In the South East of Barcelona, on the seafront, in the new Port Olympic neighbourhood, near the Barcelona and Ciutadella parks. The closest underground station is Ciutadella Vila Olimpica (line 4). The sea and several beaches are nearby. Barcelona's airport is 9 mi away. Allow for a 25-minutes journey to and from the hotel.

There is a car park (£31 per night) available, and the closest beach is only 5 minutes away. Built in 1994 but renovated in 2006, the Arts Barcelona hotel has 483 rooms, installed in a small very modern glass sky-scraper on 43 levels and served by spacious elevators. Open throughout the year, it has a full accommodation capacity of 1,000 clients. There is a large, rectangular outdoor swimming pool installed on a large sundeck solarium consisting of a Jacuzzi, stylish beach chairs and sunshades. Supported by 4 wooden girders, large square hammocks await you for a well-deserved nap. As well as the bath towels, apples and bottles of water are generously supplied. You can also walk in the surrounding gardens. Close to the lobby located on the first floor, a cosy lounge with a fireplace arranged with white pebbles offers a friendly and restful atmosphere. The spa is a duplex on the 42nd and the 43rd floors, with an area of 9,687 sq ft, and has 8 rooms for massages and other treatments, a sauna and a Turkish bath.

Spacious (484 sq ft), modern and comfortable, the rooms of the Arts Barcelona hotel are carpeted and decorated simply, without any pictures or embellishments. A doorbell allows your visitors to announce their arrival. They are equipped with two separate beds or a king size bed, a desk, two armchairs, a round coffee table, a satellite plasma TV screen showing 41 channels, a CD player, a radio alarm clock, a free safe with electronic code, an ironing board and an iron, a mini-bar at extra cost (including luxury Hediard products), tea and coffee making facilities (a Nespresso machine, what else?) , discreet individual air-conditioning and mobile telephone with direct access for international calls, without forgetting the Wifi internet connection at extra cost. The windows have double glazing and offer a spectacular panoramic view of Barcelona, especially from the higher floors. However, to avoid any safety issues there is no balcony: It would be a shame to fall from such a height! The lighting is very practical. The marble bathroom is well decorated and immaculately clean. ?It contains a double sink, a bathtub, a separate tropical shower with hydro-massage jets, separate toilet, a magnifying mirror, bathrobes, slippers, a hair-dryer, tissues and elaborate welcome products, offering the Acqua di Parma Italian cosmetic brand. You will also find a kit for tooth brushing and shaving, and some sea salt for the bath. The suites offer a king size bed, a bedroom separated from the living room by a sliding wooden door, and a large bay window offering a stunning view of Port Olympic, the beach and the sea. 27 apartments have a butler service available.

Stimulate your taste buds in one of the 4 a la carte restaurants: the Enoteca's Mediterranean cuisine, with a wine cellar containing 500 wines, the Arola tapas, the Bites snack bar that operates all day, and the Marina close to the swimming pool. All of the restaurants have a terrace. Breakfast is served between 7 am and 11.30 a.m., lunch between 1 pm and 4 p.m. and dinner between 8 p.m. and midnight. Two bars serve cocktails and other drinks.
