Hotel La Palmeraie

On the oceanfront, on Belle Mare site, nbsp;3 miles away from Trou d'Eau Douce. The airport is located 26 miles away from here, about 1 hour driving.

Small structure, the Palmeraie offers amenities adapted for both couples and families. The families will like the kids club. As for the rooms, you should better choose a suite if you want to have more space.
With 4 rooms, the hotel's spa offers different treatments, including lots of massages ( with essential oils, Ayurveda, shiatsu and reflexology). It is open daily from 9 am to 8 pm. 

The Palmeraie does not look like any other Mauritian hotel. Open in Decembre 2005, this establishment is offered for vacations in a Morrocan atmosphere. Surprising at first sight, but the devotees of this type of private atmosphere will like it. You just have to make a few steps out of your room and you find yourself in the restaurant, at the swimming pool or on the beach. As for the decoration, there are multicolored draperies, yellow-brown walls and furniture alternating wrought iron and exotic wood. Set up around the bar under a covered patio, the semi-circular swimming pool has a surface of 650 m². It is surrounded by a sundeck that opens right on the beach. No unnecessary space, but considering the hotel's capacity and it development in lots of corners, it may take a while until you figure it out.

There are 60 rooms divided in 46 superior rooms with a sea view ( including 2 suites fitted out with a sundeck ) and 14 standard rooms overlooking the swimming pool or the surrounding vegetation. The surface varies between 33 and 38 m². The lay out - both sober and refined - includes a double bed and a convertible seat, able to accommodate 3 adults in each room or 2 adults and 2 kids. Two wooden and wrought iron armchairs and a small table are set up on the balcony. The white walls make the space look bigger, while the curtains hung above the bed and the stylized tapestry showing a door create an exotic aspect. The full set of amenities include air-conditioning, telephone, TV, minibar and  tea/coffee kit  ( free upon arrival). The bathroom decorated with black marble offers shower and hair-dryer   

The main restaurant is divided into two rooms edged by an Arabic-Andalousian picture window that overlooks the swimming pool and the sea. Breakfast served buffet-style. For dinner, the cuisine is cooked based on a Creole, Mediterranean or Oriental theme. You will serve yourself a varied buffet ( 3 evenings ) or you can choose a menu with dishes brought at your table ( in the other 4 evenings ). Alternatively : the Moroccan a la carte restaurant where you can have dinner, like at the Club Med, to speak with other holidaymakers. Three tables of  8 persons in a Caidal tent setting. At last, the bar under the covered patio at the edge of the swimming pool allows you to have a light meal - a salad, a dish of the day or a sandwich. If you want to drink a glass of something, it operates up to 11 pm : perfect for  enjoying a peaceful southern night ! 

The hotel is located right on the beach. The 200 m of fitted out beach are located between the Ambre hotel's beach and the public beach of Trou d'Eau Douce. A few well visible rocky heaps offer originality to the beach and don't interfere with the swimming or the relaxation. Deckchairs, sunshades, mattresses and beach towels available. Different water sports can be practiced, free of charge for non-motorised sports and for an extra charge for the others.
