Located right on the seafront, the hotel is 5 mi west of the city and 19 mi from the airport (50 minutes).

The Ambrosia is a medium-sized establishment built 9 years ago on the eastern section of Bitez beach. The main building overlooks the sea, flanking three sides of the swimming pool which leads directly to the beach. The construction is not hugely attractive, its bare concrete a touch austere for a seaside hotel. What is more, in terms of general upkeep the place seems somewhat neglected.

The 84 large, well-soundproofed rooms are where the Ambrosia comes up trumps. They all have air conditioning, satellite television, a minibar, telephone, a fully fitted bathroom and balcony.

food and drink 6 /10

The restaurant, which seats 200 guests, offers both Turkish and international cuisine, and is served as a buffet. There is also an outdoor snack-bar, and you can buy refreshments in one of the 6 bars of the establishment.

The public beach at Bitez is relatively wide and covered with coarse sand, and is one of the biggest on the peninsula. The hotel is unfortunately not located on the prettiest section.
