Hotel Medisun

Located to the south west of Bodrum, the small village of Ortakent extends from the mountains to the sea. Quite authentic, it is one of the most beautiful typical places in the peninsula. 30 minutes' drive from Bodrum.

The entertainment and the comfortable rooms are the strong points of the Medisun. The hotels in this part of the peninsula are numerous but quite spaced out, which is very nice. The hotel has no direct access to the beach which is 5 minutes away. The promenade by the sea leads to small shops and night time entertainment (2 discos).

Entertainment
6 entertainers offer different sport activities all day long, from 9.30 am and every half an hour. In low season, the team arranges a weekly programme, whereas in high season it is a fortnightly programme: there no risk of getting into a routine! Do not miss the game during the aperitif before lunch. Every evening there are also shows, devised by the entertainment team, in the purpose-built amphitheatre by the pool. Monday is the Turkish evening, from 9.30 to midnight. The team usually changes every year. For children 5 to 12 years old, a mini-club is open 7 days a week from 9 am to 6 pm.

The Medisun is formed of a white building and exposed stonework with 106 rooms. The main lobby is spacious, light and simply decorated. The living spaces are centred around the pool, where all the activities take place, on this large terrace decorated with several palm trees. A large pool but also a small children's pool. The towels are free.

The 106 rooms of the Medisun hotel offer the expected level of comfort. They are quite large, warm and clean and simply decorated. A large comfortable bed for parents, and you can add a supplementary bed for a child. Some rooms have two double beds for large families. The tiled floor in grey mosaics is recent. The rooms have a wardrobe, a small living area with a table and 2 armchairs, a large mirror, satellite TV, direct telephone, mini-bar and air-conditioning. The bathrooms in pink and marble are clean and correctly equipped: shower, towel, hair-dryer, towel, hospitality products and telephone.

The main restaurant provides meals as part of an "all-inclusive" formula in an open buffet style. Even if the space lacks a bit of warmth, the cuisine is varied. There are simple tables covered in white tableclothes and wooden chairs. The breakfast buttet is very copious. In case of munchies, you have a snack bar by the pool and another one by the beach. Finally, the hotel offers refreshments in the nice bar by the pool, the beach bar or even in the bar of the restaurant.

The hotel has a private beach, a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It is not very large but it has loungers, parasols and mattresses. The towels cost 1.5 pounds sterling. The advantage of the location is the seaside entertainment thanks to a little promenade with several shops, boutiques, souvenirs, restaurants and bars along it. Note that the watersports activities cost extra here.
