Hotel Viva Cala Mesquida

The hotel is located in Cala Mesquida, at a few miles from the crowded summer resort of Cala Ratjada, in a natural reserve bordered by dunes and the beach. It is located 43.5 miles north of Palma and the airport. About one hour and a half driving to get to the hotel. 

The Viva Cala Mesquida is a hotel recommended for rest with few animations and activities. Ideal destination for couples without children because there is not much to do for kids around here.

The Viva Cala Mesquida Suites hotel is located in the best maintained natural places of the island. The luxury, the elegance and the comfort of the facilities make the hotel one of the most exclusive places in Mallorca. The reception and the lobby, all in ochre and cream marble, open into the dining room of the main restaurant. Below you will find a large pool surrounded by beach chairs, four-poster beds, sunshades and even sacks for a maximum of comfort and rest in a garden of 21,520 feet² area. For those who want to be in shape even during vacation, a very well equipped gym is available. And if you want to relax after exercising, the hotel has a sauna, a hamam and more massage rooms. Among other sports, you will also find ping pong, archery or a mini-golf. In the evening, on the stage close to the pool, the clients will enjoy the orchestra or the shows held by professionals.

The hotel offers 189 rooms and a well maintained contemporary decor, cream and orange with oak floors. Here you will find a spacious (410 feet²) luxury hotel fitted out with light skated wooden furniture. There are 3 types of rooms: the Junior Suites, the Suites and the Superior Royal. All of them have balconies with chairs and tables. They have a telephone, high speed Internet access, a mini-bar, a safe, satellite TV (and a DVD reader in the Superior Royal rooms). The bathroom is also comfortable offering a bathtub with hydro-massage jets, double vanity units and a hair-dryer. The Superior Royal rooms offer a large patio with jacuzzi for 2 people. The hotel also offers 4 rooms specially designated for the people with disabilities.

The main ''buffet'' restaurant, the Thalassa, serves international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a large dining-room that overlooks the pool and it also offers a nice view on the floral gardens thanks to the large window-doors. Every evening, the restaurant has a theme for its buffet (Mallorca, Asian...) and the cooks make show preparing certain dishes directly in front of the clients. Near the pool, a cocktails bar offers soft drinks and ice cream on a large shadowed patio.

A small treasure hidden in the middle of the dunes, the beach is great with fine sand and turquoise water. It is located at 655 feet from the hotel, and to get here, you will need to walk along the beautiful seashore that goes along the hotels and the dunes. The beach offers rentable beach chairs and sunshades as well as a nautical club with lots of activities. The bad part of it is that the beach is pretty windswept and there are lots of waves : caution is necessary.
