Hotel Alexandra

Located in the sea resort of Can Pastilla, visited by a popular clientele, most of the times coming from Northern Europe, 5 miles away from Palma and at 2 miles away from the airport, about ten minutes driving by car or by bus to get to the hotel.

The Alexandra is one of the rare hotels of the site that offer direct access to the sea and a patio overlooking the beach.

Located in the oceanfront, in a 4 to 6 levels building, the Alexandra hotel offers a total of 164 rooms. The large grey marble hallway tells you about the image of the establishment: a little cold, but very clean. The large swimming pool is overlooked by the rooms and it offers a solarium and a few ping-pong tables. The sport activities are not the hot spot of this hotel, entirely facing the sea. A laundry and hair style salon are also available for the clients.

Renovated two years ago, the rooms are not luxurious, but they are pretty spacious, clean and comfortable. They have air-conditioning, a safe and a TV. The bathrooms will not disappoint you. Most of the rooms offer a view of the sea. The only inconvenience is: the bad soundproofing.

With a standard decoration, the dining-room is a little too large to be charming, but is comfortable and air-conditioned. All meals are served buffet style. For meals, a simple cuisine and a pretty large choice even if the variety is not always available. Too bad they don't have a service at the table and a snack during the day.

The hotel is located on the West side of the large Palma bay beach, offering clear water, fine and clean sand. Public place and extremely popular, it is crowded in high season. Here you can rent sunshades and mattresses and enjoy the many bars and restaurants. A little farther along, you will find another beach, smaller but quiet. However, the sand here is not that nice and the beach is not supervised.
