The Cape Panwa has a good geographic location. On one side, it is isolated on the south-west of the island, which gives it an absolut calm and a splendid view of the coast and of course of the sea; on the other side, it is 15 minutes from Phuket Town and 35 minutes from Patong where there is a nice night market (open till around midnight) and lively streets at night with a certain number of pubs, bars and nightclubs.
Note that nightclubs in Thailand close at 2am (provided by the governement in order to avoid all type of delinquency but also for the population to be able to work on the following day).
The hotel is 50 minutes from the airport of Phuket.

The Cape Panwa was built in such a way to have a panoramic view of the Andaman Sea. It is surrounded by tropical vegetation from the rooms to the beach.
The hotel has 2 yachts to allow its guests to go on excursions on the small islands nearby.
A small automatic train going from the reception to the beach is available any time of the day.
Big celebrities such as Leonardo Di Caprio, Viriginie Ledoyen, Elizabeth Taylor, Pierce Brosnan... and many others stayed in this hotel.

The hotel disposes of 246 rooms divided in many categories: the twin rooms (153 for up to 2adults/1 children room), the double rooms (53 for up to 2 adults/1 children room), the family rooms (13 for up to 3 adults/1 children room), the suites (14), the villa bedrooms (6), the Panwa Lodge/Villa bedrooms (1).
They are all oriented towards the garden and the beach with a splendid view; very spacious, they dispose of nice terraces or balconies equipped with wooden beach chairs.
Built in a modern style with nice colours blending with the environment, the beds, the desk and the bathroom are decorated with flowers, which creates a small romantic touch.

The Cape Panwa was built in 1987 and maintained every month in order to offer its guests the best conditions.
The road leading to the hotel is narrow and sloping, which can cause access difficulties when raining.
The hotel was built in such a way that you always have a contact with nature; you can move easily there, the corridors are very large.
The rooms are divided per category: superior rooms, family rooms, suites and bungalows.
The main swimming pool is situated not far from the reception and the rooms; the other two are in the proximity of the beach.

The Cape Panwa offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars situated throughout the site.
The Top fo the Reef: offering grilled Thai and international specialities. Open for dinner.
The Panwa House: a Portuguese-style house located by the beach and offering Thai cuisine and soft traditional music.
The Uncle Nan's: an italian restaurant with terrace open in the afternoon and for dinner.
The Laem Panwa: a bar with terrace by the beach specialises in seafood. Open for dinner.
The Clock House: A snack bar offering European and Thai cuisine. Open from the morning till the evening.
The Bamboo Bar Beach: a bar offering fresh drinks and snacks on the beach. Open from morning till evening.
A piano bar with animation offers cocktails and other drinks. Open in the evening.
The Lighthouse: a pub open from afternoon till evening.
The room service is available 24 hours and serves local and international cuisine.

The beach is close to the rooms: very nice, calm, it has a clean fine white sand and is surrounded by tropical vegetation.
The water is relatively warm, of a blue-green colour but not transparent (pity!).
The wooden beach chairs, sunshades and towels are available free of charge.
Numerous activities are offered to delight families: volley ball, tennis, canoe, banana boat, ping-pong, petanque, badminton but also a Jacuzzi, a playroom and a fitness centre.
