Hotel Fuerteventura Playa

The Fuerteventura Playa is located right on the verge of the sea on the south edge coast of Costa Calma, well away from other hotelier complexes that are located in this summer resort in the south-east of Fuerteventura. Allow 50 minutes for transfer from the airport, about 43.5 miles north.

The Fuerteventura Playa hotel is one of the first hotels classified as Koudou by New Frontiers. These economical clubs will guarantee an '' all inclusive '' formula, or complete lodgings, rooms adapted for families and individual rooms without any additional fee. Children are also taken care of thanks to an aquatic space built in every hotelier facilities, where they can play and go to a mini-club during school breaks. In case of any health complications, medical assistance is assured 24h/7 at the Fuerteventura Playa hotel. You can see lots of cats walking in the gardens of the hotel. You can gently caress them, they are lovely, but please don't feed them!

Built in 1989, renovated in 2005, the Fuerteventura Playa consists of a large apple green 3-floor building, U-shaped, housing 300 rooms. Open from 9 AM to 8 PM, a shallow pool (just 3.30 feet) equipped with a volleyball net, offers a slight sloppy access as you come off a beach. It is heated from November to March. Children have their small 20 feet depth pool. Beach chairs, mattresses, sunshades and showers are available, as well as towels for a ?15 deposit, payable at the reception desk (£12). A large pipe for the water outflow goes across the tropical garden up to the sea. The cats love walking here. In the beach direction, on the right wing of the building, there is a sauna, open from 9 AM to 9 PM. The key is available at the reception for an average 10-euro deposit (8 pounds). The same deposit is required when you use the fitness room.

The rooms of the Fuerteventura Playa hotel are carpeted and suitably equipped with a small satellite TV (18 channels), two separate beds, a round wooden table and two armchairs, a large balcony fitted with a drying-line, a small key safe (for a ?2.20 fee per day, £1.75, plus a 15-euro deposit, £12), a refrigerator with two bottles of water, direct international telephone line and individual air-conditioning. A painting by Paul Gauguin decorates its white walls. The bathroom is clean and well-decorated, and has a bathtub with handle door and a flexible shower, welcome products, handkerchiefs, a drying-line and non-separate toilets. The 69 apartments offer a small kitchen and a living-room area.

The main restaurant offers a buffet serving international cuisine for breakfast from 8 AM to 10:30 AM, lunch from 1 PM to 3 PM and for dinner from 6:45 PM to 9 PM, with show cooking. A thematic evening (barbecue, Chinese or Italian) is held two times a week. Located close to the outdoor pool, a second restaurant offers you tapas. The pool-side bar serves snacks from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a toast under the straw hut from the pool snack bar from 10:30 AM to 6 PM and in the evening at the salon bar from 6 PM to midnight, listening to live music or watching the show !!

The Fuerteventura Playa offers direct access to a small supervised public beach, perfectly equipped by beach chairs, sunshades and showers. However, we recommend that you wear beach sandals because there are rocks and pebbles. The beach snack bar, Horizonte el Chiringuito, does not belong to the hotel, and offers food and numerous cocktails. The children can have fun in a playing area while the dults play beach volleyball between two baths in a heavenly sea. The hotel is located 10 minutes on foot from the enormous Costa Calma beach, bordered by an impressive row of hotels. Here the sea water is clean and chemically-tested for hygiene.
