Hotel Djerba Sun

The Djerba Sun Club is located on the hotel route of the north coast of the island. It is 9 miles from Houmt Souk and 15 miles from the international airport (25 to 30 minutes for transfers).

A team of 13 entertainers (3 for children) enlivens the days and evenings with sports programs, competitions, games and shows on the terrace or in the rooms. Three times a week, the club calls on outside organisations to perform folklore programs.

Built in 1996, the club is situated in a 22 acre garden planted with palm trees and hibiscus. With their Arabic-Moorish style, the buildings (1 floor) are built to blend in with local architecture. Sports equipment and leisure activities take place on the central plaza of the club, occupied by a huge swimming pool.

The 314 rooms are air conditioned and very functional. 119 of them are equipped with showers, the others with bathtubs. You can find satellite television and a telephone. They each have a balcony or a loggia overlooking the gardens, for some of them.

Meals are served as simple buffets, cold or hot, in the main restaurant. Three theme dinners are organised every week: Italian, Tunisian and international. It is possible to have lunch at the snack-bar near the swimming pool where pizzas and sandwiches are served.

The club has a small beach, located 1,150 ft from the buildings. You can get there after you cross the touristic road. It is well equipped with straw huts and lounge chairs. You can do pedalo, and windsurfing.
