Hotel Eilat Princess

Located on the Red Sea, in a isolated place, about 5 miles away from Eilat and a few metres away from the Egyptian border. Allow about 15 minutes for transfer from the airport.

Located in retreat from the activities of Eilat (free shuttle every half-hour), the Princess is a good destination for those seeking peace and tranquility in an impressive atmosphere. Despite the 10 year wear that you can feel in some of the places, this establishment remains one of the ''must see'' in the high standard hotel industry. Its large reception rooms are also used to organise weddings, feasts or barmitzvas.

Backed by mountains and facing the Red sea, the Princess hotel displays its architecture, certainly not very aesthetic, in a splendid setting. From the entrance hallway, where big sun lounges offer a great view of the ochre rock of the desert, you can only be touched by the beauty of the site. The charm continues when you get closer to the gigantic outdoor swimming pool, with a design of lagoons interwoven between them by way of slides and gangways. Considering its off-centered location, the Princess offers all the necessary services: shops, fitness room, beauty salon, thematic restaurants, synagogue and night club. A mini-club welcomes the kids and animations are assured every evening. But the most fascinating of the shows remains the sunset on the bay from the hotel's patio !

The 400 rooms of the Princess are found between the ground level and the 15th level of the building, guaranteeing a stunning view of the sea or the mountains from most of the balconies. All the rooms offer air-conditioning, telephone ( very low-cost calls and personalised answering machine!), TV, a safe and a mini-bar. The standard rooms are not really large and they are furnished in an outdated style. However, the suites are of a comfortable size with oudoor private jacuzzi for Deluxe and duplex for the Junior suite. Our affinity remains for the 7 thematic suites ( Thai, Chinese, Morrocan, Russian...), decorated in a very fancy manner. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

The Princess offers a large choice of kosher food, French cuisine, vegetarian, Creole, Italian, Japanese, meat specialities or the buffet-restaurant. Each restaurant offers a personalised decoration but the most spectacular one is offered by the Sunrise, fitted out with large bay windows in the rocks. Large buffets are offered here for breakfast and dinner. The swimming pool snack-bar or the one on the beach and the barbecue, set up in summer time on the patio, offer a nice option if you feel during the day. You can have a drink in the panoramic living-room, at the piano-bar, at the pub or, for those sleeping late at night, in the disco of the hotel. Two non-kosher restaurants are located outside the hotel, one Chinese and one Japanese.

Located on the other side of the street that borders the coast and accessible through a tunnel, the Princess's beach is one of the most peaceful in the area, despite the ambient music. Deckchairs and sunshades are availabe for clients free of charge. The clearness of the water allows you to enjoy the fauna and the flora of the Red sea using a simple mask. However, if you have sensitive feet, you should wear slippers because the seaside is covered with pebbles and corals.
