Last renovated in 2010, Perdikia Hill is an attractive four-star property situated on a hill overlooking Ovacik and Hisaronu. The resort consists of self-catering apartments that attract a largely British clientele and is best suited to those who are looking for peace and quiet due to its slightly isolated location. If you've come for the beach be aware that you'll definitely need wheels to get there...
Perdikia Hill overlooks the village of Ovacik (5 minutes walk) and Hisaronu (15 minutes walk). Fethiye and Dalaman Airport are 3 miles and 31 miles away, respectively.
Perdikia Hill is open between 1 April and 30 October.
Free WIFI connection is available throughout the entire resort.
Perdikia Hill is a small resort consisting of only 50 rooms in two-storey buildings with charming exposed stone exteriors. There are pretty gardens and neat shrubs throughout, dotted with hammocks and pieces of contemporary outdoor furniture. For a small resort there is a good variety of leisure facilities. Besides a large swimming pool, (with kids' wading area), sporty types should enjoy the basketball and tennis courts. Billiards and table tennis are also free of charge as is the small fitness centre equipped with a handful of machines. For the younger guests there is a small playground nestled in the gardens, plus a kids' club (the latter was not up and running at the time of our visit). Teenagers might want to hide away in the games room, which contains arcade games and air hockey. There is also a small health and wellbeing facility on-site which contains two massage rooms, a Jacuzzi and sauna. These cost extra (unlike other hotels where Jacuzzi and sauna use is usually free of charge) - unusual as the facilities are very basic...
There are two room categories at Perdikia Hill; the one bedroom apartment and the duplex apartment. All apartments have town/garden views and possess two balconies. Accommodation is very simply furnished and decorated but clean and well-lit. The one bedroom apartments are on the small side but contain a decent-sized kitchenette and dining area, as well as a living room with sofa bed to allow for up to four guests.
The duplex apartment sleeps up to six guests and contains a large living room with two sofa beds. This time, the dining area contains a five piece wooden dining set and a larger kitchen. A marble staircase leads to the lower level consisting of two bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom is large but somewhat bare and is connected with the larger ensuite bathroom. There is a toilet but no full bathroom on the upper level of the duplex apartment.
Although Perdikia Hill is a self-catering resort, bed and breakfast and half board meal plans are also popular with guests. There is only one restaurant on-site, which serves an open buffet breakfast and dinner, while lunch is à la carte (served at the adjacent snack bar). The restaurant is simple but somewhat cosy, with apex timber ceilings, wooden beams, wrought iron chandeliers and an exposed stone wall on one side. Large windows overlook the pool and let in lots of light. The bar is at one end and the buffet station at the other; three times a week the restaurant hosts a theme night (varying between steak night, Turkish night and BBQ night) with evening entertainment on the pool deck.
The public beach at Belcekiz is at least 10 minutes away by car. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the beach at Olu Deniz (neighbouring the public beach) which leaves at 10:30am and returns at 3:00pm daily. Guests at Perdikia Hill receive free entry to the private beach (Olu Deniz) but are expected to pay for their sun bed and parasol.
