Hotel Aguamarina Golf

On the oceanfront, in the new hotel area "Urbanizacion Golf del Sur", 11 miles away from Playa de Las Americas and  2.5 miles away from the Medano ''spot'', a place of windsurfing competition. Located 5 miles away from the Tenerife Sur airport, it takes 10 minutes to drive to the hotel. About 60 minutes driving from Los Rodeos airport in Tenerife Sur, located 43.5 miles away, for transfers. The hotel is about 37 miles away from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the island.

Open in 2000, the Framissima Aguamarina Golf, member of the Spanish hotel chain Gema ( just like the Gran Hotel Turquesa Playa in Puerto de la Cruz )  is located in a touristy area, currently in construction. Located close to the airport, the area is flyed over by lots of planes. The hotel offers however a small health and beauty centre equipped with a heated pool and offering different types of cares ( acne, nutrition, depilation, pedicure, make-up, anti-stress...).  3 free shuttles per day( except on Saturdays) are available for clients to go to Los Cristianos and Las Americas. A free car park is located right in front of the hotel. It hosts a market every Friday morning. Music lovers will like the Mozart music played at the reception or at the main buffet-restaurant. Fitness lovers will be delighted by the free fitness room with last generation apparatus, but in a more rythmic techno music atmosphere. Finally, the golf players can choose between the Amarilla Golf and the Golf del Sur, both located right next to the hotel.

Lodging advice:

For families, we recommend one of the 17communicating family rooms that offer as a bonus a duplex  with a spiral stairway  and a large sundeck. Handicapped people will be offered 10 rooms, especially designed for them.

The Framissima Aquamarina Golf offers  300 rooms, spread out in a massive 4-level building, accessible by 2 elevators including one panoramic outdoor elevator that  gets you to the roof, where you can find a solarium terrace. A large seawater pool layered on 2 levels in located at the foot of the hotel, equipped with a gangway, a pool for kids and a solarium equipped with showers, toilets, deckchairs and sunshades. The towels are available to pick up at the reception for a deposit of 8 pounds. The Framissima also offers an indoor pool close to the fitness centre. As for the activities, the club offers sports fields including a paddle tennis court and a golfcourse of 9 holes. Massages and beauty cares are also available at the fitness centre. 20 metres from here, the nice small Beach Club located in a small black pebble creek, is open from 10 am to 6 pm. This area is very  quiet and it also offers to the clients of the Framissima hotel an additional seawater pool decorated with rocks and a waterfall, equipped with deckchairs and surrounded by some greenery. The access to this  charming and quiet place is being done with the room key card.

The access hallways to the rooms don't look like the usual hospital-like corridors, but, all the contrary, they are bright and  nicely decorated. Spacious, sober and comfortable, the rooms are fitted out with wooden furniture and fabrics with fresh and bright patterns. The decoration on the golf theme is inspired from England of the years 1920.  All the  rooms are equipped with a sofa-bed for 2 persons, a direct telephone line, Wifi access, satellite TV, a paying safe ( 2 euros per day ) and a refrigerator, adjustable air-conditioning. The bathroom  includes a  bathtub equipped with a handle and a flexible shower , welcome products, a bidet, non-separate toilets and a hair-dryer. Half of the rooms overlook the sea from their large fitted out balcony; the others overlook the Amarilla golf. The suites offer a living room, two balconies, two bathrooms with a separate shower, a bathtub and a double washbasin. You can carefully put your clothes on a trestle.

The meals are served buffet-style in a high-ceiling restaurant of 430 place settings decorated in a classic and bright style ( wooden furniture, fresh fabrics ). The cuisine is international with Canarian specialities and show-cooking. The clients can also have a dinner one evening per week, offered in half-board formula, at the Canarian restaurant  or at the barbecue restaurant  for an additional fee of 3 euros, based on reservation. The clients can drink at the pool bar during the day and at the Faro bar the evening.

The hotel opens towards a wild creek covered with black pebbles, non-supervised, accessible through a non-built road. Beach sandals are strongly recommended. A small passage gets you to the nearby marina. In front of the hotel ( stairs to take down ), the clients will however enjoy the Beach Club, an area fitted out with a sea water pool, showers, toilets, palm trees, lawn, beachchairs and paying sunshades. If you want to enjoy large equipped, supervised and fitted out beaches, you should preferably go to Medano  beach, located 2.5 miles away east. A free shuttle service is offered by the hotel.
