Renovated in 2002, the Veranda hotel offers a nice Creole architecture. The reception, the lounges and the bar, installed in several villas, open onto the gardens and the swimming pool through wooden stave blinds protecting from the sun like in the old Mauritian houses. Another traditional element of decoration : the lambrequins ( sculpted wooden friezes ). Rattan furniture, cushions with various colours, plants and bouquets of flowers.... You will like the attention for details. Outside, the gardens lead to two swimming pools of about 20 m in length, including one fitted out with an area for kids and another with a jacuzzi area. Sundeck-solarium on the oceanfront, extended by the fitted out beach located down below. Deckchairs, mattresses and canvas sunshades are set up. Bath towels available.

The rooms are divided into 4 categories : 66 standard, 8 deluxe, 12 bungalows and 8 appartments. The most spacious rooms can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children. A kitchenette is available in the appartments and bungalows. Reflecting the warm aspect of the hotel, the decoration in the rooms uses wood and fabrics printed with beige and red patterns. Of a good comfort, all the rooms offer a balcony opening onto the gardens and the sea in the background. They are air-conditioned and they offer a bathroom with hair-dryer, mini-bar, telephone and TV.

The restaurant room is edged by open baywindows that overlook the lagoon or the sundeck edging the swimming pools. It is fitted out with an exotic rattan furniture, with lots of tables set up close to the baywindows. A varied buffet is set up in the morning, with hot and cold dishes, as well as omelette on request. In the evening, the buffet invites you to discover a culinary theme, Indian, Creole, Mediterranean... For couples on honeymoon or for special occasions, a table for two is set up under a cane canopy, outside the restaurant overlooking the beach. At noon, the catering service is offered a la carte, on the sundeck at the edge of the pools. Salads, pasta, meat or fish grillings.

Carefully maintained but artificial, the beach stretches out on 100 m in length and 50 m in width. It is overlooked by a sundeck covered by sand where deckchairs are fitted out. Cane straw huts offer shade, while the filao trees and the coconut trees bring more greenery to the place. The water is not that clear as in the areas that are less developed, but you can swim whenever you want. Non-motorised water sports included, as well as water ski at the rate of a tour per day. Motorised water sports and diving are paying.
