Hotel Bel Azur

On the seaside, in the hotel zone of Hammamet, 1.2 miles from the centre of town. For the transfer from Tunis airport (located 44 miles away), expect 45 min  of travelling.

The Bel Azur belongs to the same complex as the Sol Azur. Clients can have access to equipment and services of the two hotels, and also to the thalasso center of the Royal Azur. Furthermore, the Bel Azur only has light entertainment including sports activities and themed evenings. It is therefore possible to enjoy lively and relaxing vacations here, according to your taste.

Opened in 72, and renovated in 98, the Bel Azur has a three-story building including 300 rooms (of which 100 rooms communicating with one another), located in the floors above the front desk or in bungalows spread around the gardens. The decor of the common areas could do with being furnished in a more contemporary style. However, the areas for relaxation are situated in a very beautiful 37 acre park. The 656 ft² swimming pool includes a separate area for children. It becomes quickly too small when busy, and its accesses are narrow as well.

80 % of the rooms have a view of the sea, the others of the garden.. The rooms have simple furnishings, but they all have a balcony, a bathroom with shower or bathtub, adjustable air conditioning, satellite television, and direct telephone.

Meals are served as a buffet in a large room divided in two. It is nicely decorated with mosaics. The cuisine includes stands of "show-cooking" (dishes prepared by clients), Tunisian, Italian, and international specialties. An à la carte restaurant is also located on the seashore: Here, you can eat grilled foods and pastas.

The beach, divided into two by a rock headland, is average in size. It is nice, but the equipment is a bit spoilt by the straw huts touching like canopies: difficult to escape promiscuity if you want to have some shade! Available water sports (with participation) are sailing, windsurfing, parasailing, pedalo, banana boat and waterskiing.
