Hotel Président & Tunisian Village

The Président is located in the hotel zone of Hammamet, 3.7 miles from the centre of town. The transfer from Tunis airport (located 47 miles away), expect  a 45 min  trip.

The Président belongs to the same complex as the Tunisian Village: they share the entertainment, the sports infrastructures and the beach. The Président does, however, have its own restaurant and its own private swimming pool. The extras are paid for through an electronic bracelet (given to customers upon arrival.)

Opened in '85, and renovated in '97, the Président has a five-story building including 216 rooms (some of these rooms are quads, others are communicating to be able to welcome families or groups of friends.) the decor (with Tunisian and middle-oriental inspiration) is not too heavy. Outside, the relaxation areas are well furnished, with vegetation islands to break the monotony of the tiled terrace. Umbrellas, lounge chairs, and mattresses are available in sufficient quantity around the swimming pool.

Rooms have sufficient comfort: they are equipped with adjustable air conditioning, telephone and have all a balcony. They overlook the swimming pool and the gardens for the majority of them. Bathrooms have a shower or a bathtub.

The restaurant buffet offers a Tunisian and international style of cuisine: a reasonable variety of dishes is presented at each meal. Salads, pastas, meats with sauce, French fries, fresh fruits and icecream. To a bit of change, the Président also has an à la carte restaurant which specialises in fish.

You get to the Président beach after having crossed a busy road and following a dirt road of 250 m.. The beach (big and beautiful) is sufficiently equipped with umbrellas and lounge chairs. An independent nautical base offers many sports: water ski, pedalo, waterski, banana boat, jet ski, ringo and parasail.
