Hotel El Comendador

The Comendador is located in Old Havana, in a lively and pleasant district, close to places to visit. The airport is 11 miles away.

The hotel is next to the Valencia hotel. The reception is sometimes closed so you have to go to the Valencia hotel. The hotel does not have a restaurnat but there is a Tapas restaurant next to the Comendador.

Since April 1999, this 18th century residence, in a Hispano Arab style has been offering 14 chambres on 2 floors. The dominant colour is blue reminding us of the Riads of Essaouira. The bygone decoration, visible beams and stones give this hotel a lot of charm. A small patio with greenery and a fountain for people who want to make the most of the refreshing atmosphere.

The 14 rooms are simply decorated but keep up the 18th century era charm with high ceilings in original wood. All the furniture is antique and comes from Spain, beds in wrought iron, wooden furniture. The rooms are in blue and white tones. They all have direct telephone, air conditioning, satellite television, free safe, minibar and hair dryer. The bathroom includes a hip bath. 12 rooms overlook the alley and have a balcony and 2 overlook the patio.
