Hotel Nacional de Cuba

Ideal location, if not a little far from Old Havana, the Nacional de Cuba overlooks the Malecon, to the west. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the airport.

The Nacional de Cuba is a benchmark for hotels. It is just like an old fashioned palace: a prestigious name, an elegant setting, a unique location, a large capacity and very good service. Nevertheless, some parts of the hotel need renovation.

The Nacional is a beautiful building built in 1930. It was last renovated in 1992, which would explain why certain places are a bit dilapidated, especially both swimming pools and the restaurant-buffet. It is surrounded by gardens overlooking the sea.

The rooms are not very stylish but are comfortable. Air conditioning, satellite TV, direct telephone for international calls, bathroom with bath, safe. Half of the rooms overlook the sea, while the other half open onto the town. 24 hour room service.
