Hotel Invisa La Cala

In the very heart of the seaside resort of Santa Eulalia, 164 feet from the pleasure port and the maritime promenade, on the east coast of the Island, 9 miles north from the capital, Eivissa, and 15 miles from the airport, about 20 minutes by car.

The animations of the La Cala hotel are limited to a few night shows on the patio and around the pool. It also welcomes lots of aged people. It also offers lots of ramps and 8 rooms are fitted out for people with disabilities. Be aware that you can wash your clothes at the laundry, for a fee of ?2 (£1.5). The hotel is open from May to October.

Built in 1950 and renovated only in 2006, the La Cala hotel offers 180 rooms, in a 4 level and "U"-shaped building painted pink and served by three elevators. It offers a large lobby of 2,100 square feet and an outdoor pool 67 inches deep surrounded by a patio, a solarium with deckchairs, sunshades, showers and a toilet. Children are offered a small pool 21 inches deep. After all, the lack of space around the pool quickly gives you a feeling of suffocation. The decoration and the furniture are not original.

Covered with a tiled floor, the rooms are well fitted out and decorated with paintings and fashionable bedside lamps, and offer good comfort. They offer a large satellite TV with an LCD flat screen broadcasting 28 channels. The TV volume is cleverly blocked in order to not disturb the neighbours (and not being yourself disturbed by the noise of the nearby TV, as it sometimes happens in some hotels). You will also find a desk, an armchair, a paying safe (?2 or £1.5 a day for a deposit of ?15 or £12), individual air-conditioning, a refrigerator filled with two bottles of water upon your arrival, a telephone with an Internet connection and a large fitted out balcony with two armchairs, a small table as well as a dryer. None of the rooms overlook the sea. The bathroom includes a bathtub equipped with a shower, a toilet, welcome products, a hair-dryer, bathrobes, a make-up mirror, a comb, handkerchiefs and a large beach towel.

With an accommodation capacity of 260 guests, the restaurant is open from 8.00am to 10.00am for breakfast and from 6.30pm to 9.30pm for dinner. Meals are served buffet-style with "show cooking" and offer a delicious and varied international cuisine (Spanish, Italian, Mexican and Oriental). The piano bar of the hallway serves cold drinks from 10.00am to 1.00am.

If you want to go to the beach of Santa Eulalia, located 820 feet from the hotel, you will have to cross over a few streets. The beach is located at the foot of the rambla with its numerous bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. The sand is rather fine and the water quite clear.
