Hotel Sol S'Argamassa

In the north-east of Ibiza, right on the verge of the sea, 1.5 miles away from the seaside resort of Santa Eulalia. The capital, Eivissa, is located 11 miles away and the airport 14 miles away, about half an hour driving.

Owned by the hotelier group Sol Melia, very present in Spain, the Sol S'Argamassa will seduce the families with its baby-club for children aged 1 to 4, and the club for kids from 5 to 13 years old. It is very close to the largest hippy market of Ibiza which is organised every Wednesday in Es Cana. The children will enjoy the universe of the Flinstone Family in the Yabba Dabba Doo bazaar, that offers games, books and lots of small things.

Built in 1964 and renovated in 2000, the Sol S'argamassa hotel offers 217 rooms, spread out in a 3 level building served by two elevators. It offers a large lobby of 1,000 square feet with a piano, decorated with more care than it is usually done in Ibiza. Outside you will find 2 pools of 750 and 640 square feet, each one with a pool for kids 23 inches deep, and a brand new sport centre. The first pool, 60 inches deep, is located close to the entrance car park and to the mini-club. The second one, 63 inches deep, is located on the other side of the hotel, surrounded by a lawn and a nice garden. They are open from 9.00am to 7.00pm. Towels are provided for a ?10 (£8) deposit. Deckchairs, sunshades and a toilet are available.

The rooms of the Sol S'Argamassa overlook the sea or the countryside from their nice fitted out balcony. They enjoy good equipment with adjustable air-conditioning, satellite TV (14 channels), a direct international telephone line, a free electronic safe and a refrigerator. The decoration is classic and soft. The rooms also offer a fully furnished bathroom with a bathtub without a handle but with a shower, welcome products, handkerchiefs, a comb, a bidet, a toilet and a hair-dryer.

With a capacity of 250 guests and rather nice with its fountain, the ''So Good'' restaurant offers an "à la carte" service for dinner, served between 6.30pm and 9.30pm, and international buffets with "show cooking" for lunch from 1.00pm to 3.30pm. Breakfast is served from 8.00am to 10.30am The S'Argamassa proposes an Italian menu with pizza and many types of pub products. For soft drinks, you can choose between the snack bar open from 1.00pm to 3.30pm , the ''So Fun'' lobby bar open from 6.00am to noon, the pool bar from 10.00am to 6.00pm and the animations bar with its stage from 8.00pm to 1.00am.

A sandy beach equipped with a dock and a diving club is located right in front of the hotel. You can practice several nautical activities at the Cesar's watersport centre like jet skiing, parascending, banana, ringo, sailing, windsurfing; canoe; kayak and even pedalo. Quite small and crowded, the beach is equipped with pergola sunshades(?3 or £2), deckchairs (?3 or £2) and a restaurant bar.
