Hotel Atlantis - Turquie

By the sea, 1 mile from the fishing village of Sigacik and 37 miles from Izmir airport (allow 50 minutes for the transfer). It is located close to the Teos Club.

The region is very windy, which is ideal for windsurfers or on hot days. The top bungalows are the most recent and therefore the most modern.

Built in 1986 opposite the Greek island of Samos, in a very natural setting, the Club Atlantis has 277 bungalows that blend well with a rocky headland and its floral hillside. For seaside treats, on one side there are two small creeks (for diving or dancing depending on your mood and the time of day: there is a disco there); and on the other is a public beach. The whole place has been given names from antiquity. A pleasant setting, particularly the lobby, where swallows fly among the chandeliers, stained glass windows and Roman vaults.

The rooms, which are tastefully decorated in a "Roman" style, have a bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a telephone and air conditioning. It feels just like home, with neighbours too, because unfortunately the soundproofing is poor. Every day the staff leave fresh flowers on the beds.

With the exception of the a la carte restaurant, meals are served as themed buffets in an indoor restaurant (with central fireplaces) and an outdoor one (near to the pool). The range of dishes is amazing, and there are numerous Turkish specialities. Wood fire grills, Turkish pizza, puffed sesame bread, sauted frog's legs, giant paella - all are prepared before your eyes. The food is good quality, and to top it all, red, white and rose table wines are served in unlimited quantities.

You get to the public beach down a small hill. Watersports are available in the hotel's creeks. There is also a bar and disco inside a vast cave.
