NaturePerched in the middle of tea plantations, this hotel enjoys a panoramic view of the valley. It is suitable for relaxation and enjoyment of the natural and cultural sites.
Huna Falls is in the middle of a tea plantation 26 kilometres north of Kandy. To get there, you have to take a small road that is passable only by window vans or cars and climb to an altitude of 1300 metres. The landscape is gorgeous. Nearby is the Huna waterfalls.
The hotel was renovated in 2004. There is a golf court for golf enthusiasts.
Built 24 years ago, this hotel was renovated in 2004. Although the hotel's architecture and decoration are somewhat unattractive, the view and environment are stunning. A huge park surrounds the hotel. Although it has a swimming pool, the site is rather unwelcoming (no shade, a few deckchairs).
The rooms are dark and simply decorated. The decor is not very attractive. Large, heavy and dark curtains (beige and brown) black out the light. Both the wooden furniture and the floor carpet are dark. The rooms are large or rather too large as they look empty. They have a bed, cupboard, table, television, air-conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, a mini-bar and telephone. The bathroom is very spacious and well decorated. The hotel has 3 suites 2 of which are similarly decorated. They whisk you away into a world its own. There is a Scottish suite and a Japanese one.
The restaurant is overlooking the mountains and its large picture windows enable you to enjoy the landscape. There is a terrace round about the building. In black hues, the decoration creates a gloomy atmosphere. Fortunately, however, it has large picture windows. Although the wine list is furnished, only a few wines are stocked. It also offers local and international dishes. Breakfast is served as a buffet.
