NatureThe Ocean is a homely establishment with only eight rooms having a spectacular view of the sea. A good anchor from where to enjoy the surrounding natural beaches.

At the northern tip of La Digue, along the coastal road, facing Anse Patate. Travelling from the wharf, located about 1 mile away, takes 15 minutes by ox-driven cart, the local taxi!
Travelling from the port to the hotel in La Digue island, where cars are banned (with a few exceptions), is in an ox-driven cart. Incidentally, the bicycle is the best means of travelling on the island. Bicycle renting is proposed right at the hotel. During your trip, do not fail having a discussion with the owner of the place, a flamboyant person, native of Mauritius, who knows Seychelles perfectly.
This small hotel, built on a rocky projection on the seashore, has a wonderful panorama. It is made up of a large Creole house divided into two floors. On the ground floor, a terrace in stone sheltered by a big pavilion, contains the restaurant and bar. Eight rooms are located upstairs accessible by a big staircase. The island's main road runs below the hotel but it is not very busy and taken solely by bicycles.
Built on high ground, all the hotel's 8 rooms have an stunning sea view from their small balcony, especially numbers 7 and 8. Oddly fitted with Chinese style brown furniture made of lacquered wood, they are not big but bright and air-conditioned. They also have a ceiling fan, mini-bar, direct telephone and a small washroom with shower. There is a safe for precious articles at the reception.
Gorgeous and well ventilated, the restaurant, like the whole hotel, has a lovely sea view. It serves Creole fish and seafood dishes, on tables decorated with lots of originality. Groups of "live" music play on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights, and for the occasion, with Creole buffet or barbecue.
The Ocean is located between two natural fine sand beaches: Anse Sévère et Anse Patate, accessible by road and small stone paved tracks. Superb with their coconut trees and their typical pink granite rocks both are not very busy. They are not laid out and the rocky water makes swimming difficult.
