Hotel Ship Prince Abbas

The Prince Abbas is anchored on Lake Nasser behind the dam in Aswan.

The boat welcomes mainly Spanish and English. It belongs to the Nile Exploration Corporate company. Credit cards are accepted.

Built in 1998, the boat is 280 feet long and 51 feet wide, it has 6 decks, including the upper deck. It has in fact two sundecks, the upper deck and the lower deck. The boat offers fitness equipment, a reading room, a lounge bar with a nightclub, lit by large windows, a pool table.

The boat has 60 cabins, including 38 double rooms spreading on 225 feet² each, arranged with one or two low beds, spread over 3 decks, 18 junior suites spreading on 322 feet² each with 2 beds, and 4 Royal suites spreading on 485 feet² each. The cabins can be accessed through paths covered with parquet, lined with wooden railings bearing buoys. The cabins have windows. They are equipped with local television, a telephone line for domestic calls, air conditioning, a mini-bar. The rooms are in bright pastel colours. The ambiance is very friendly and warm. The bathrooms have a panoramic shower and toilets.

The restaurant is spacious, light and friendly. The food is very good. A meal is served three times a week at the table. The rest of the time, it is served buffet style. Twice a week, the meal is Egyptian, and once there is a barbecue party. From time to time, the buffet is Italian. The choice is still not quite large, offering two entrances, two dishes and two desserts. The wines are French, German and Egyptian. Tea is served every afternoon on the upper deck.

The upper deck is built on two floors. On the 5th floor, at the rear of the boat, a charming oriental area is reserved for moments of serenity with wooden coffee tables, sofas with mattresses and white cushions, decorated with plants. The 6th floor is very pleasant, furnished with tables and bamboo chairs. It has a swimming pool, sun lounges and deck chairs. The coating is parquet.
