Hotel Holiday Villa

On the West of the Island of Langkawi, the complex is only fifteen minutes from the airport, located on the same coast. The capital Kuah is opposite the hotel, on the East of the Island. It is a good half hour drive to get there.

Even if the hotel has several restaurants, don't hesitate to leave the hotel to discover the surrounding buildings nearby.
The Holiday Villa's clients come mainly from the Eastern countries like Russia or Scandinavia.

In the entrance hall, we enter into a lively and sometimes rather noisy atmosphere. The decoration in the reception area is not very refined, it is somewhat disappointing. A fountain was installed in the centre of the lobby and the area is rather dark. The stained-glass windows are a bit overdone.
You go through a little path in the garden to get to the swimming pool. The latter is very big but lacks a little charm. But it does have a jacuzzi area and a pool for kids.
The hotel has a spa, the Amoaras Spa. It has five massage rooms including four individual ones and one designed for couples. They all have an outside view onto the garden. Some even have a private jacuzzi.

The Holiday Villa has 258 rooms distributed in two-storey buildings with elevators. On the other hand, the dark hallways are full of a strong smell, probably rising from the kitchens. The standard room is comfortable but yet a little dull. The thick dark burgundy carpeting does not exactly liven up the room. On the other hand, other rooms have parquet or tile flooring. The warm colours of the decoration are already more attractive. It also has a balcony with either a garden view or a view of the swimming pool. The sea view is reserved for the suites. You will find the following equipment: a television, a safe, air conditioning, an empty mini-bar, a direct line for international calling and room service 24 h a day. The bathroom is not very big but it is elegant with a black granite washbasin and beige-rose tiling. It has a hair dryer and welcome products.

Several restaurants are at your disposal. The main restaurant, the Lagenda, offers a buffet for all three meals and offers local as well as international dishes. The tables are rather close to each other, the atmosphere is quite stuffy. Every evening, dinner is accompanied by an orchestra until 1:00 in the morning. The Mario's is a little Italian a la carte restaurant, open only for dinner. It is basically decorated with red checkered tablecloths, typical of Italian restaurants. Finally, the Beach Bar and the Sunset Bar both offer a menu of snacks for a light lunch. For liqueurs, come to the Matahari Lounge, across from the reception area. Musical atmosphere guaranteed.

The Pantai Tengah beach by the Holiday Villa is big and pleasant. The location is calm and a little windy. Green mattresses are set on the plastic deckchairs. On the other hand, few sunshades are set up in the form of huts. Other deckchairs are arranged on the hotel lawn, given the limited number around the swimming pool. The water sports club is located near the beach volleyball court.
