This is a truly cosy little hotel, whose charming rooms and comfortable apartments, good cuisine and warm atmosphere, combine to make rest, relaxation and conviviality an inevitable part of your stay.
The hotel is in the Levi ski resort, opposite the ski lifts and a 5-minute walk from the city centre's many restaurants, bars and shops.
One of the rooms does not have a balcony?
A laundry facility can be used by guests free of charge.
A dozen or so reindeer are kept in a pen in the garden.
The reception is discreetly tucked into a corner of the welcoming lounge area that you walk into on arrival. Bright colours decorate the walls, and there is a large bar, a scattering of sofas here and there, a television, a fireplace and a computer in the corner. You know straight away that it is going to be hard to leave this place! Whereas the ground floor area is devoted to rest and relaxation by the fire, in front of the television or over a game of cards with a pre-dinner drink, the basement offers a quite different atmosphere altogether. There you will find a large and well-equipped gym, a UV sun lounger (payable), a massaging seat (payable), and cross-country skis and snowshoes for guests to borrow - everything you need for a good workout.
The rooms are divided into two types: 18 doubles and 15 quadruples (with one bedroom on the mezzanine level). The refined decor is full of charm and you will soon feel like you are in a cosy nest thanks to the big soft pillows, comfy armchairs, drying cupboard (not in all rooms!), kettle and instant coffee, as well as a big white desk, a television on the wall with a DVD, and a large mirror. You might as well not leave your room! In addition to a magnifying mirror, a hair-dryer, a small closet to keep your beauty products and a shower, all the bathrooms also contain a sauna! There is no better place to spend a bit of time every day after being out in the chilly Lapland countryside. The hotel's accommodation also includes 8 gorgeous blue wooden chalets housing 16 highly luxurious 4, 6 or 7-room apartments. They all have a large lounge with a fireplace, a long wooden table for group meals, a kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, hob, and coffee maker, etc. Their other facilities also include a sauna large enough for everyone to enjoy at the same time, a dishwasher, and a small terrace. The bigger apartments even have a second lounge.
There are two hotel restaurants, separated by a curtain, where you can go to replenish your energy. On one side of the curtain, the charmingly decorated main restaurant serves three buffet meals a day: the food is tasty, the dishes tyical and the prices low (lunch is ?12). On the other side of the curtain, the restaurant is more upmarket and only opens in the evening: the 'a la carte' menu includes reindeer, a wide selection of fish and even bear (there is a legal hunting quota in Finland). The starter, main course and dessert menu is priced at ?46 and is worth every penny. This delicious cuisine is accompanied by a list of over 100 different wines!
