Hotel Apollonia Beach

The Apollonia is located on the oceanfront, on the beautiful part of the bay, in Yermasoya, a very popular and touristic hotel neighbourhood, with lots of restaurants, bars and shopping centres. It is the touristic neighbourhood of Limassol, 2 miles away from the historical downtown. To reach the hotel from Larnaca airport (located 40 miels away), you will need 45 minutes.

Since 1 May 2006, the hotel only accepts children over 16 years, in order to preserve the peace of the place. The staff is multilingual. Every 15 days, the hotel invites its clients to a ''management cocktail'', a way of socialising. Once a week, a Cypriot wine tasting. There are lots of couples and individuals that come here on a regular basis. Very soft animation. The hotel best assets: cooking and dancing courses (Greek and oriental). Dinners are usually accompanied by live background music. Different municipal buses pass in front of the hotel and go to Limassol downtown every 10 minutes.

The large 6-level building of the Apollonia is very similar to the numerous hotels nearby, it offers a haven of peace and verdure. Built in 1972, the Apollonia is a member of the hotelier chain, Louis Hotels of the Mediterranean coast. You will immediately feel the welcome, comfort and brightness - its large bay-windows opened toward the sea and the garden, the very elegant and comfortable furniture, like the armchairs. Plus nice soft music is played at the reception. Outdoor life is mainly facilitated by well-thought space planning, well protected by trees, where you will always find privacy and peaceful moments. The covered sundeck, with beautiful teak furniture, where you can take your lunch facing the sea, the beach restaurant for a la carte dinners, the 2 beautiful pools and the Mediterranean gardens, widely contribute to a beautiful overall aspect. There are also padded wooden beach chairs. The main restaurant and the outside areas have just been renovated (2006). 3 people are in charge of the gym and spa, including 2 for massages. Another one takes care of the beautiful well-equipped sports room. The covered pool is clean and well-lit (540 feet²). 2 massage rooms, 2 saunas (one for women, another one for men): large and separated. Massages can also be requested at the seaside if that's the wish of the client. A very large conference room is available.

The hotel offers 204 air-conditioned rooms and 8 comfortable suites - their decoration is not as original as the rest of the hotel. The combination of blue, cream and white is harmonious and restful. Comfortable and clean, they are spacious (standard rooms are 301 feet²), carpeted, with large closets and double-glass. Balcony, view of the sea or inside the property (quite nice), satellite TV (18 channels including 3 paying), adjustable air-conditioning, well-stocked mini bar, tea/coffee kit), direct telephone line bedside radio, paying safe. Upon your arrival, you are offered bottled water with fruits or canapés. The bathrooms are fitted out with a bathtub, welcome products, hair-dryer, slippers, bathrobes and towels for the pool. 24 hour room-service available if you want to have a small snack. Periodical publication available in every room.

At the main restaurant, the ''Dionysos'', an international French chef treats guests every evening. Meals are served buffet-style (great selection, nice presentation, high-quality) or from menus on the beautiful shaded sundeck facing the sea or in the main restaurant, clear and wide open toward a second sundeck. The room is rather nice. The cuisine is fresh, of a local inspiration (good) and international, very delicious buffets. You can also take all the meals a la carte, with a good choice of dishes and wines, on the main sundeck all day long, and at the Thalassaki outdoor tavern located above the beach. From 8 PM to midnight, the tavern offers grilled specialities and fresh fish from May to October. Well-known for its gastronomy, the hotel has just opened a large modern Japanese restaurant, all red, black and white. 2 bars complete the services offered.

The sandy beach right below the gardens is small and peaceful, well sheltered between two docks of rocks. The clear water and grey, clean sand are well-appreciated. A private companhy offers equipment for water sports. Showers, beach chairs, sunshades and snacks are reserved for the clients.
