Hotel Mediterranean Beach

The Mediterranean Beach is located 4.5 miles away from Limassol, in Amathus neighbourhood. On this long urban band that goes along the sea, the touristic animation is dense and the luxury hotels fight for the best locations near the sea. We should mention that the beaches are way much better that in Limassol itself. To reach the hotel from Larnaca airport ( located 40 miles away), will take about a 40-minute drive.

The massive facade of the Mediterranean Beach, built in 1991, is softened by a large neo-classic portico surrounded by verdure and by palm trees. The interior decoration, re-done in 1999, reserves a special place for plants, terra cotta pots and caned armchairs. The large bay-windows in the hallway allow you to see the asymmetrical lagoon pool, surrounded by rocks, waterfalls, the refinement of a Mediterranean garden and the blue sea. The establishment creates private ambiances despite its size (291 rooms that can accommodate up to 600 people).

The rooms - comfortable and carpeted - are decorated in the summer spirit, in tones of ochre and blue. Comfortable club armchairs. They offer a view of the sea and the pool, the sea and the gardens or the interior grounds of the hotel. Standard amenities include a satellite TV with 15 channels, direct telephone line, adjustable airconditioning, a well-stocked mini-bar, a balcony and a bathroom with bathtub. Room service allows you to order meals until 11 PM.

The meals are served buffet-style, of local and international inspiration, enriched by thematic evenings (Italian, Cypriot, French cuisine, barbecue). During summer time, the meals are taken outdoors on the nice veranda, set with tables and wooden chairs, and overlooking the pool and the gardens. Breakfast is served in a large bright room, with columns, green plants and large colourful pictures. At last, a restaurant of Cypriot specialities - with a selection of mezzes - allows you to take your lunch and dinner a la carte facing the sea. Buffets are sometimes served at noon. The outdoor snackbar, decorated in Greek style (straw chairseats on blue wood) completes the different options available during the day (grilled brochette and salads). There are also 4 bars.

The hotel reserves beach chairs, sunshades and towels for its guests on the sandy beach where you go through lots of lawn areas and gardens laid out on slightly different levels. The place is peaceful and specially well equipped for water sports. Diving lovers will have to go to the club installed on the site of the hotel.
