RestThe Navarria is a peaceful hotel, quiet and a little outdated, in retreat from the oceanfront. However, it offers good quality services for those first seeking a good room and a place to stay where they can relax a little, on the side of the pool or in a gym. Families will have to take care of their children themselves.
The Navarria is located 4 miles away from Limassol, on a smal street in Amathus neighbourhood, a small urban strip stretching along the sea. This is a very touristic area, surrounded by hotels, restaurants, bars and houses under construction. To reach the hotel from Larnaca airport (41 miles away), allow a 45 minute drive.
Dinners are usually accompanied by live background music.
You will have to take local buses to go to Limassol.
Built in 1990, the Navarria, a 5-level building that does not offer too much originality, has a sad-looking appearance. The seats in the hallway look a little old, the bar's carpet is worn, green plants are too scarce to brighten up the atmosphere. Outside, the terrace is fitted out with plastic furniture, a little grey-looking. The only things that bring a bit of a young note to the hotel are the 82 feet long pool (with a small pool for kids) and the facilities of the fitnes club.
The 130 rooms, of an area of about 129 square feet, overlook the sea and the pool, or inland. The colors are gay, the furniture quite simple (stratified wood) but in a good state. All are equipped with satellite TV, direct telephone line, adjustable air-conditioning, a mini-bar, a small balcony and a bathroom with a bathtub.
Meals are served buffet-style - menus and thematic evenings are sometimes offered (steakhouse, Cypriot, international, barbecue) in the only restaurant of the hotel. Just like the overall decoration, the restaurant is not very refined. The wine list puts forward local wines, with quite a wide selection of red, white and rosés wines from the island. A small cafeteria located on a sundeck serves, among other things, souvlaki (grillings). The food is good, but not exceptional. There are also 2 bars (hallway and pool).
You have to cross over the four-lane highway that runs parallel to Limassol bay to get to the public beach located 492 feet away from the hotel. Quite long, but a bit too narrow, the sand is mixed with pebbles. Flat rocks may be in the way when you get into the water. The bar-restaurant, whose tables are installed on the sand, is rather nice, but diffuses continuous music with no real concern for loudness. If you want to do water sports, you should look for a vendor. Their cabins are installed at regular intervals along the beach.
