Well locatedA breathtaking view of the Tower of London: this hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the eastern and northern parts of the city. Places of interest: covered or open-air marketplaces, the Wall Street-like atmosphere of the City and discovery of the banks of the River Thames.
On Pepys Street (Tower Hill underground), 330 feet from the Tower of London and 650 feet from the pedestrian promenade along the River Thames. The City is at 5 minutes walk, and to reach the markets of Petticoat Lane, Brick Lane and Spitalfields, it takes 5 minutes by underground (direct line on District).
The Novotel Tower Bridge is the hotel to be selected by those who came to London for business, extending their stay for a weekend.
All rooms house 2 adults and 2 children.
On the cultural side, it cannot be closer to the Tower of London: perfect for a family visit to the reconstitutions of tortures and executions that took place there. You can go shopping at the markets situated north of the City. And if it does not rain, take the time to stroll on the deck of the Tower (to see the Gerkin building under its best angle) and along the banks of the Thames (for a breath of fresh air in the middle of the city).
Opened in 2000, the Novotel Tower Bridge occupies a modern 7-storey building at the edge of the City and a stone's throw away from the River Thames. Exhibitions and the reception are organized as a single unit, which increases the impression of space and takes advantage of the perspectives provided by the columns and the lamps made of polished metal. The red armchairs in Art Deco style contrast nicely with the light walls. You should appreciate the additional touch brought by the bunches of flowers, the green plants and the apples stacked in a rectangular vase at the entrance. As for leisure, the hotel has sauna, a Turkish bath and a gym with free access.
The hotel has 203 rooms. Those situated on the top floor facing the south offer a clear view of the Tower, the adjoining green spaces and the Thames. Offering spacious rooms (270 square feet each), they are arranged according to the Novation design, which offers a pleasant light coloured wood furniture. The non-renovated rooms are more simple, but nonetheless comfortable. Planned infrastructure: satellite TV, a telephone, a minibar, a kit for tea or coffee, air conditioning. The bathrooms have a bath, a hair dryer and welcoming Accor products.
Breakfast is served as a buffet in a room furnished with light coloured wooden tables and chairs. Hot (eggs, bacon) and cold (cereals, meats, cheese) dishes are offered for all tastes. For lunch, you can have eat in the same room or at the bar next door (white collars of the City know this address quite well as they come on game days). The card (not very inventive, that is a pity) proposes great classics of international cuisine, interpreted quite well as a whole (lamb shank "à la Provençale", rumpsteak and potatoes, club sandwich served with fries and salad, onion pie).
