The Cape Santa Maria is the only hotel perched on the bay of the same name. Enjoying an exclusive location shared with a few privileged villas, the hotel is hidden behind the sea pines. The hotel includes a series of bungalows perched besides a beautiful beach, spreading along 2,624 feet (white sand, clear water). They are all arranged around an elegant main building equipped with large openings that reveal the beautiful scenery. The bungalows, all one storey, are in the same colonial style with shingle roofs. A place of relaxation and rest, the Cape Santa Maria has limited ground equipment, but it has its own equipment to practice diving (free or bottle) or fishing. It must be noted that the local submarine world is magnificent. Despite its slightly impersonal decoration, both the bar and the restaurant offer a very pleasant environment.

All bungalows are divided into two chambers, independent but with good communication. All overlook directly onto the beach. The decoration of these bungalows is still a bit impersonal, but carefully selected. A large part of the bathroom transits directly into the room, which helps increase the sense of space. Faced with a large veranda protected by huge anti-mosquito nets, they allow guests to enjoy the splendid sea panorama while comfortably seated in basket chairs.

The bar-restaurant offers a very pleasant and friendly ambiance. Sheltered by a large veranda 13 feet high, it offers a view onto the seafront. The kitchen is rather international, but you can choose among different fish the same day (their fried tuna it is a real treat!). It is also a good option to taste delicious Bahamese dishes (about $20 a dish, that is £10). The bar-restaurant also offers snacks throughout the day: count about $8 for a burger, a salad or sandwich (£4).

The beach at Cape Santa Maria is, beyond doubt, one of the most beautiful beaches of Long Island. A real small paradise: fine white sand, clear turquoise waters washing the shores of a beautiful bay sheltered from the wind. Each bungalow has a small outlet onto the beach. Ideal place to stay for relaxation. The hotel offers also various activities: snorkeling, sailing around the island by boat, game fishing, kayaking, sailing.
