Located in the touristy area of Manavgat, the Excelsior is a modern and comfortable hotel that belongs to the Corinthia chain. Entertainment and sport activities are good but the beach is far away.
In the hotel area of Manavgat, 4 miles away from the historical site of Side and 50 miles from Antalya. Transfer time from the airport, 43.5 miles away, is approximately 1h.
Recently built, the Corinthia Excelsior hotel offers an extremely original and modern architecture although some will see it as oppressive due to its very square and abrupt lines. The interior decoration, on the other hand is very pleasant and refined. With a huge pool and numerous activities, the hotel is however located far away from the beach.
The hotel is formed of a large elevated building built around a central yard. It has 151 rooms, several bars and restaurants, a disco, shops and a small indoor pool with a fitness centre. Outside, the relaxation areas include a huge pool and beautiful landscaped gardens. The hotel has also a large private beach but has no direct access.
Provided with alcove balconies, the rooms are decorated in a lively and colourful style. They offer all modern comfort: satellite television, adjustable air conditioning, direct telephone and minibar. For all your valuables, there is a safe available at the reception desk. The bathrooms are small but equipped with bathtubs and hair dryers.
Meals are served buffet style; they usually consist of a varied choice of Turkish and international dishes and are served in a tastefully decorated room. Breakfast and lunch can also be taken at the pool area, in the central patio. The hotel also has a snack bar, an "a la carte" restaurant and another restaurant on the beach.
The hotel beach is big and very well fitted out : deckchairs, sunshades, showers, restaurants, watersports centre... On the other hand, the quality of the sand is poor and the beach is inconveniently located away from the hotel. Therefore the clients must walk along a road for ten minutes to get there. This distance can be a bit of an ordeal during the hottest hours of the day!
