Our pickLocated in the heart of the Medina, the Riad Aladdin offers quality welcome where the staff is particularly attentive. The rooms are particularly attractive, all different, but in a traditional and contemporary style.
The Riad Aladin is located in the heart of the Medina, in the district of Berrima, just beside the Irons Blantiers square, where lanterns, mirrors, tables and other Moroccan art pieces are sold. From the riad, Riad Zitoun Street leads directly to the Palais De La Bahia (3-minute walk away) and to the Jemma El Fna square (5-minute walk away).
Guests can choose their room from a photo before booking.
The Riad Aladdin opened on 1 November 2004. Its owner bought three riads to make them into one. A first patio of small lounge areas all made of cedar wood welcomes you immediately after steppig in the door of the Riad. The peace is striking, the atmosphere is lavishly green. The riad is built around two other patios, including one serving as a restaurant. A lounge with a fireplace provides a large-screen TV and a DVD and CD player. A bar is also available to customers. A panoramic terrace above each very pleasant patio, gives a view of the Koutoubia, the Palais Bédia, the Palais Royal and the Atlas range. Some storks have made their nests on roofs adjacent. They live here throughout the year.
17 rooms with an area varying between 161 and 269 ft², including one suite, are warmly decorated in a mixture of Berber and Moroccan styles. One suite, named "Mille et une Nuits" (a Thousand and One Nights) has a matress on a raised platform with lots of pillows around. It is decorated in shimmering colours, with fabric on the ceiling. A second suite; also decorated in warm tones, has a canopy bed. A third type is decorated in shades of red with a bedspread covered with sewn sequins. The bedding is very comfortable. The bathrooms are equipped with a shower or a typically Moroccan bath tub, a gilded sink, with welcome products presented in the same way offering rosemary, grapefruit and orange blossom shower gels and shampoos. The toilets are not separate. The rooms do not have a television, a mini-bar or a telephone. But the switchboard is available 24 hours a day at the reception. Room service is available until 11 pm.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be taken at the terrace restaurant, located on a patio or on the panoramic terrace or even in the small lounge. At lunchtime, the Riad Aladdin, depending on the package, offers a menu consisting of salads, a barbecue and its accompaniment and a dessert. In the evening, a menu of oriental flavors is displayed on the patio, with an starter, a main meal and a dessert. The cuisine is delicious. The Chef has worked at the Ksar El Hamra, a renowned restaurant Marrakesh. The restaurant is very pleasant : small tables made from zelliges are arranged between tall plants. One wall is decorated with straw. The tables on the panoramic terrace are also made from zelliges, of different sizes, with chairs or arm chais, lit by candles as soon as night falls.
