Hotel Coralia Skanès

On the seaside, in the hotel zone of Monastir, 6 miles north of the town. It is located close to the Club Houda. For the transfer from Monastir airport (located 4 miles away), count about 10 minutes for the trip.

The Club Coralia Skanès favors families. Its children-club "Baboo Village" has very good infrastructures to welcome children from 4 years old. A swimming pool with water slide, games and space of relaxation create a miniature village where children are welcomed and cared for 6 days a week from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm and from 7:15 pm to 9 pm.

Built in 1992, and renovated in 1999, the Club Coralia Skanès has several bungalows with a total of 270 rooms. The decor, in Tunisian style, is simple but nice. It focuses on the white and the blue, and round shapes reminding of the menzels, the traditional houses. The spaces for relaxation are found around a beautiful 4,519 ft² swimming pool. Parasols, lounge chairs are available in sufficient quantity, but the shade is limited to those: it would be nice if the place had more trees.

All rooms have view of the garden, and they have a little balcony. The furnishing is simple and offers sufficient comfort. Notice, the dressing table has a mirror framed with ceramic with typical motifs. Each room has telephone, adjustable air conditioning, satellite television. The bathrooms are equipped with a bathtub.

The buffet restaurant has a big room with tonic colours and leads to a nice terrace. There is a variety of dishes and they include a Tunisian speciality at each meal. A Tunisian buffet is also organised once a week. Upon reservation and to change environment, it is possible to eat in the à la carte restaurant (without supplement): it has a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea. The cuisine has international and Tunisian specialities.

The beach of the Coralia Skanès is very big and well equipped, but it can have some problems with algae and medusae when it is hot. Equipment include straw huts, lounge chairs, showers, and a nautical base: it provides for sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking. Close by, it is also possible to practice jet ski, waterski, banana, and parasailing, ringo and pedalo.
