GastronomyThe Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow is ideally located a stone's throw from Red Square and the Kremlin. It is a luxury hotel and its many amenities and services include a heated swimming pool, a spa and an ultramodern gym open 24 hours a day. Food lovers are well looked after here, with a choice between an Armenian restaurant and a rooftop restaurant preparing gourmet cuisine with panoramic views from the terrace.
The Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow is located in the heart of Moscow, a stone's throw from Red Square and the Bolshoi Theatre, at 4 Neglinnaya. Several underground stations can be found very close by: Okhotny Ryad, Kuznetsky Most, Teatralnaya and Lubyanka. Sheremetyevo 2 international airport is located about 22 mi away (a journey of approximately one hour). Domodedovo international airport is located some 34 mi to the south west, and guests should allow an hour and a half for the journey.
The Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow is ideally located to set off on foot and explore Red Square and the Kremlin. Fans of fine food will relish the panoramic views from the gourmet rooftop restaurant and will be able to indulge their curiosity for Armenian cuisine. What better way to top off a day out and about than by relaxing at the spa or in the pool. The hotel even houses an art gallery and an Orthodox Christian chapel where weddings are held. A free Wifi internet connection operates throughout the hotel. Three computers are provided for guests, but there is a fee for internet access. A foreign exchange office and cash-point are also available in the lobby. This business hotel offers a gym with the very latest fitness equipment, open 24 hours a day. Room service is also available 24 hours a day. If you choose to dine at the hotel, the nine banquet halls can seat up to 2,150 guests.
The Ararat is a member of the Park Hyatt Hotel Group. Its name evokes the 17,000 ft Mount Ararat, the symbol of Armenia even though its geographic location is in Turkey. It opened in October 2002 and its 216 rooms - including 21 suites - are spread over 11 floors. The first 9 floors can be reached by taking one of three panoramic lifts. The two top floors are reached by two standard lifts. The Quantum Club is the ideal place to relax. It has a spa, a 5ft deep swimming pool heated to 28°C and adorned with a waterfall, two massage rooms, two hammams (one Turkish bath and one Russian bath), a sauna, a whirlpool bath and an ultramodern gym. Why not fill the time between two baths by stretching out on a deckchair with the newspaper, munching on an apple and sipping iced tea?
The rooms of the Ararat Park Hyatt are both spacious (410 sq ft) and extremely comfortable. They have a carpet, and they are equipped with a wide screen plasma television showing 56 cable channels, very quiet individual air conditioning, a mini-bar fridge (one free bottle of water), a telephone, Wifi and ADSL internet access (free), an electronic code safe (free), a desk, an armchair, a round glass table and king size bed (or two single beds). Be aware that the curtains let light filter in, which may wake you up in the morning. The Italian marble bathroom is bright and spacious and includes a bathtub, a large shower with a separate flexible shower head, a toilet, a telephone, 'Blaise Mautin' hospitality products, a professional hair-dryer, dressing gowns and slippers, tissues, a set of bathroom scales and a magnifying mirror. The icing on the cake (particularly in winter), is the heated floor! Room service is provided 24 hours a day.
The Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow offers an interesting and original selection of good food, starting with the ground-floor Armenian restaurant, Ararat Café. It is located near the lobby and allows guests to dine in a charming Armenian setting dominated by a fine painting of Mount Ararat. Alternatively, you may wish to eat in the conservatory lounge bar, but an absolute must, especially in the summer, is the panoramic roof terrace and its beautiful view over Moscow. Breakfast can be taken at the Park restaurant on the first floor, with dishes prepared on request in addition to the buffet, from 6:30am to 11:30am. Your other meals can be taken at the other restaurants, which are open all day from midday to 2:00am. Fans of Japanese cuisine might be tempted by the sushi bar, which can seat 20 people. There are also several bars to choose from to enjoy a good cocktail, starting with the piano bar in the lobby.
