Very well located just a 15-minute walk from Red Square and the Kremlin, the Budapest hotel is housed in a beautiful late-19th Century building facing the Vasantha Russian Baths. This comfortable establishment offers good value for money and is ideally located for exploring Moscow. Opposite the Vasantha Russian Baths at 2 18 Petrovskie Linii, at the heart of Moscow, near the Bolshoi Theatre and just a 15-minute walk from the Kremlin and Red Square. The closest metro stations are Teatralnaya and Kuznetsky Most and Sheremetyevo-2 International Airport is 22 mi away (around an hour's drive). Domodedovo International Airport is located some 34 mi south-west, so allow an hour and a half transfer time.

The Budapest hotel opened in 1958 in a beautiful 5-storey neo-Classical building dating back to 1876, and was renovated in 2004. It has a total of 116 guest rooms including 23 junior suites, access to which is via a series of elegant corridors decorated with beautiful paintings. The facilities here are limited but guests do have access to the facilities at the neighbouring Peter the 1st hotel, which include a swimming pool, a hammam and a gym.
The rooms at the Budapest are carpeted and nicely wall-papered with a painting hanging on the wall and have satellite television broadcasting 25 channels, individual air-conditioning, a minibar refrigerator, a telephone and a small key-operated safe (free of charge). In addition to the bed, furniture includes a desk, two armchairs and a wooden coffee table, whilst the bathroom has a bathtub or a flexible showerhead, a toilet, a hair-dryer and hospitality products. Room service is available from 8:00am right through to 1:00am.
The Romanov restaurant is located in the neighbouring Peter the 1st hotel, where dinner is served in a splendidly elegant carpeted room decorated with various tapestries and a beautiful model boat. Breakfast is served between 7:00am and 10:30am, lunch between 12:00pm and 4:00pm and dinner between 5:00pm and midnight and you will find a mixture of Russian, Mediterranean and European cuisine on the menu. The lobby bar, which also has a large television screen, is open from 7:00am to 11:00pm.
