Hotel Kamari

The hotel is located on the heights of Platys Gialos, 655 feet from the beach, 2.5 miles from the town of Mykonos and a little over 2 miles from the airport (the hotel can ensure transfers).

The Kamari is a good surprise. Although of a modest category (even if it has top class rooms and studios), this facility, thanks to the quality of its facilities and the warmth of its home, is a haven of peace that should be ideal for families. A real games room (video games, ping-pong) has been arranged for children.

Built in 1987, the hotel consists of one building, which was renovated in 2001. The improvements have been made on all 58 rooms, including an upgrade of 16 rooms now higher category. The reception, decorated simply, is quite light. It is composed of a wooden counter where every guest receives a warm welcome. On the other side of the entrance, in the same space, you will also discover the bar, the restaurant and the lounge, where you can watch television in comfortable sofas. The hall extends to the outside on a pleasant terrace made of stone. The garden, about 2.5 acres, is composed of palms, pines and geraniums. Finish the walk around a pleasant swimming pool in round shape. Deckchairs and sunshades are provided free of charge. The atmosphere of the hotel will certainly make you feel like at home.

The standard rooms located upstairs are not very large, but pleasantly renovated (the wood furniture is simple and rustic). However, one or two small paintings decorate the white walls. They have all the necessary equipment: television, air conditioning, direct dial telephone with calls for abroad and a safe. The rooms have a balcony of average size with wooden furniture. As for the bathroom, it is equipped with either a shower or a bathtub. Superior category rooms (first floor) are obviously more spacious (about 430 ft²) and offer a sofa bed.

The restaurant, with its pretty arches, is composed of a half-dozen tables in front of the bar. All the colours of the island are present, blue and white. Here, there is no real restaurant, but simply a dining room for breakfast. It serves buffet style with staple foods: bread, cake, cereals, ham, cheese and boiled eggs. Breakfast is therefore served indoors or outdoors on the terrace of the hotel. You will deplore the presence of a local restaurant to enjoy the delicious Greek cuisine!
