Hotel Sandals Royal Bahamian

It is located at the heart of Cable Beach, the "Bahamese Riviera" directly on the seafront, midway through Nassau and the airport. Allow 10 minutes by bus or taxi to get in one or the other.

The hotel does not offer services to single guests or children. The Sandals does not have a very large beach right at the foot of the hotel, but it makes up for this disadvantage by providing access to a beautiful private island located just opposite, at ten minutes by boat. The formula of "all inclusive" is very comprehensive as it also includes scuba diving!

This large hotel complex has 403 rooms organised in 14 different categories and in 4-storey buildings arranged around a large pool, overlooking directly onto the Cable beach. The hotel owns a small island located at a distance of 2,624 feet, accessible by a bus shuttle (4 times a day) with a beautiful beach, a pool, a restaurant-bar and a volleyball playground. The Sandals offers benefits of good standard. The reception staff is polite and properly educated, the environment is very pleasant, even if some part of the architecture and the design tease the eyesight at times: retro colonial style, which is difficult to describe, kitch but yet not quite excessive.

The vast and comfortable rooms of the Sandals offer a wide range of equipment. All have a coffee machine, a television with VCR, a clock radio-CD player, safe, a full mini-bar and a spacious balcony. The design is pleasant but lacks a little sobriety. The bathrooms all have a big bathtub, personal skin care products and bathrobes. They already need complete renovation. And finally, a recommendation: ask for a room overlooking the middle of the garden but not around the pool. At night, the music of the bar could seriously affect your sleep!

The Sandals offers eight restaurants and nine bars, all included in the package of an "all-inclusive" week. You can take your breakfast on buffet or a la carte, in three different restaurants. The lunch is served in four different restaurants (buffet or a la carte). For dinner, you have eight options to choose from: from the Asian restaurant (Kimonos) to the bar-restaurant (Cricketers Pub) with Mediterranean, French, Italian, Bahamese, Caribbean style, etc. Two of the restaurants require a dress code: the Crystal Room and Casanova.

If the beach is not very large, it is very pleasant and well equipped, with many deckchairs, swimming hours under surveillance and a large dock. For a calmer atmosphere and typical Bahamese setting, just take the sea shuttle, less than 10 minutes, to visit a lovely small island of exotic charm. Facilities: 2 white sand beaches, a large bar-restaurant, a swimming pool and a playground of beach volleyball, all in the shadow of filaos and washed by the turquoise sea.
