Located at Ocho Rios, 2 hours from Montego Bay airport, the Jamaica Inn covers the most beautiful private beach on the island that forms a cove where the hotel is located.

The Jamaica Inn belongs to a family that has been welcoming prestigious guests since 1950. The hotel is on the list of "The Best (300) hotels in the World". Children over 12 are accepted.

A truly charming hotel, the Jamaica Inn welcomes you warmly in its tastefully decorated reception. Overlooking a luxurious garden of tropical flowers, Jacaranda trees, bougainvilleas and palm trees, the first building also has a bar with a lounge-library with free Internet access (wi-fi in the library and the bar), a restaurant, each opening onto a terrace. The garden has a swimming pool and directly overlooks the beach, the most beautiful private beach in Jamaica. The decoration is vintage-style, typical English, with a modern touch. The hotel staff is very efficient and discreet, and it provide personalised service of high quality. Do not forget to attend the yoga sessions at 8 AM and 5:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and go to the Kia Ora spa, perched on a small cliff - a very pleasant place, with massage booths open onto the ouside, with a view directly onto the sea. Moreover, every day from 4 PM to 5 PM, tea and cake are available at the bar and you can have an apéritif at 6:45 PM. The hotel has a tennis court, a croquet ground, a fitness gym overlooking the garden and a television lounge. Kayaking and diving are also available. Nearby and in consideration of a fee, you can also play golf (18 holes), windsurfing, water skiing, bottle diving, horseback riding, and numerous trips to explore the island.

The hotel has 47 suites, furnished with refinement, housed in small buildings. All rooms have a terrace or a balcony overlooking the beach and the sea. Several room categories are available: 14 Superior Balcony suites are located upstairs overlooking the sea, 28 Deluxe Verandah and Prime Verandah suites overlook the ocean, the Premier suites ovelook the beach, there is one Cowdray suite, which is more spacious and equipped with a separate sitting room, one White suite aside on the private peninsula, especially for couples on honeymoon. All rooms are decorated with objects and furniture of local style. We appreciated particularly the great lounge outdoors, very comfortable, especially with the sofa, the chair and the coffee table. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a ceiling fan, a telephone and a safe. However, there is no television. The bathrooms are tiled in marble and have a bath. The sheets are always clean, the beds are prepared, and always with clean towels! Room-service operates from 7 AM to 10 PM.

The hotel has a restaurant with its huge terrace, which allows candle-lit dinner under the stars, at the musical ambiance of a piano bar. Open for all three meals during the day, the restaurant serves gourmet European cuisine. But you would recognise the Jamaican inspiration. The tables are very well decorated. Another restaurant, located just opposite, offer a direct view onto the sea, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in case of rain. The place is good and the food is tasty. Some vegetarian dishes can be ordered. The Jamaica Inn has two bars, one near the reception, and the other one near the swimming pool and the beach.

The beach has the honour, and we agree , of being the most beautiful private beach in Jamaica. It is quite large, wide, the sand is of good quality. Forming a cove, the water is beautiful, and it is good to rest, either very early in the morning or late in the evening. In short, at any hour of the day, you can use the deckchairs carefully prepared by the staff as well as the sunshades. The pool bar is located nearby. And remember that in the morning, the hotel will offer you fruits and cocktails on the beach.
