Good value for money opposite Gare de l'Est station.
The hotel is located opposite the Gare de l'Est, with many shops, bars and restaurants specialising in cuisine from the east of France in the immediate vicinity. There is also a bus station just outside the hotel, a very practical feature offering routes all over Paris. Alternatively, take a waterside stroll along the nearby Canal St. Martin, which is lined with many restaurants and bars which get very busy in the evenings. The closest underground station is Gare de l'Est.
The hotel has a small entrance and on crossing the threshold, the atmosphere is intimate. Behind the reception counter are a few tables and chairs serving as a breakfast area in the morning and then a lounge for the rest of the day. The decoration is sophisticated. A very picturesque and typical Parisian lift takes guests up to the floors of the hotel. There is a public car park under the Gare de l'Est, for which there is a charge.
The establishment's 34 rooms are all of the same category: Standard. The one we visited had recently been renovated and was particularly big and bright. Even though it overlooked the station forecourt, which is very busy, there was no noise in the room itself. The decoration is stylish and the room clean, with a wide flat screen television on the wall, free Wi-Fi access and free safes available at reception. The bathroom is also big, with a shower or bathtub and hospitality products. The hotel offers good value for money.
