Hotel Relais du Louvre

Across the square in front of the Louvre museum, the hotel is nestled in the same little street as Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois church. You will have a fantastic view of its architecture if you are staying in a room on the top floor and you will appreciate it even more when you realize that it is not going to wake you every hour with deafening bells - a quiet chime only is sounded every day. The nearest underground stations are Louvre-Rivoli and Pont Neuf, but you will not need to take the underground if you want to go to Les Halles (the central shopping mall of Paris), the Musée d'Orsay or Place Vendôme, as these unmissable sites are wonderfully close to the hotel.

The hotel lends portable computers and Wi-Fi cards to guests. Each room is fitted with an extra modem outlet for Internet connections.

With its flowery patterns and quaint furniture, the small rooms of the Relais du Louvre will immediately put you at ease and make you feel as if you were staying in a holiday home. This feeling will only grow stronger if you're lucky enough to have a room with a small private patio outside. The hotel has double rooms, twin rooms, suites and an apartment with a fully-equipped kitchen. The hotel's management makes every effort to make the stay of families easier and offers communicating rooms and the possibility of adding a small bed or unfolding a sofa to turn it into a bed. The rooms have air-conditioning, a TV set with a large choice of channels, a shower or a bathtub, a hair-dryer, an individual safe and a mini-bar covered with flowery cloths so as to keep guests in a rural frame of mind.

As the hotel has neither a restaurant nor a breakfast room, your breakfast is served in your room; you can either go for the copious version or for the light one. However, the hotel does have a car park (?25 per night, with a reservation). The staff of the Relais du Louvre makes every effort to accommodate your every wish and to be of service, which is a rare treat in hotels nowadays, and you can have your keys at the earliest opportunity.
