Hotel Papadakis

The Papadakis is found on the heights of Naoussa, slightly away from the old port ( a 10 mn walking distance ). You thus need to climb up a little to reach the hotel located in a not very green area. Parikia is 6.2 miles away and the airport 15.5 miles away.

This small family hotel visited by almost 70% of French is, thanks to its elegant facilities and its cosy and refined atmosphere, one of the best surprises in the island. The hotel is perched on a hilltop and thus unadvised to the elderly ( you need to climb up ). Don't miss out the Papadakis restaurant at the port, also managed by the owner : also one of the best places in the Cyclades ( excellent shrimp risotto and fish salad ).

Its stone archways and two build-in bells in one of the walls is a replica of the architecture of ancient monasteries. The four small buildings are grouped in several storeys around a wonderful and small pool ( about 40 m² ). Built in 1980 and renovated 2 years ago by the owner's daughter, this 16-room hotel ( few standard rooms are half-board ) has been sumptously decorated, specially the elegant breakfast room ( marble-covered tables, imitations of old furniture, etc ).

This is the advantage of the hotel. The high standing rooms have been tastefully decorated ( old bedside tables made of wood and marble, old sofas and mirrors, wrought iron beds, etc ). Blend of warm and light colour shades and small but elegantly decorated bathrooms. TV, air-conditioner, direct telephone line, small refrigerator in a beautiful wooden box, hair-dryer and fascinating view of Naoussa and the Aegean Sea. Simpler decoration and facilties for half-board rooms.
