At the end of the beach, in the southern extremity of Patong, the busiest beach in Phuket. It takes around 45 minutes to go to the airport (22 miles). 30 minutes from Phuket town.

The Holiday Inn of Phuket had to close for more than 10 months because of the Tsunami. This gave the opportunity to renovate the swimming pool, the bars and the restaurants on the ground floor, being opposite the sea. Modern and spacious, these places became very nice living spaces decorated with taste.
The minibar you will find in the rooms are empty. The guests can buy their drinks at the minimarket of the hotel. The prices are the same as in the town.

Built in 1987 and renovated in 2005, the Holiday Inn of Patong Beach is composed of two buildings and 405 rooms. The first is conventional, all developed in lenght and with no particular style, allocating its rooms on six levels from one side to the other of a central open-air well. The second building, more ventilated, has 140 rooms since 2001 and a beautiful central swimming pool. The majority of the restaurants and services (boutiques, fitness room, etc.) are gathered on the ground floor. Since the renovation of 2005, the spaces have been redesigned and redecorated with taste. A beautiful surprise for such a massive infrastructure. There are no less than six swimming pools in total, two of which are exclusively dedicated to children. Since 2001, the hotel offers "the aspara", a lovely spa with 14 treatment rooms open from 9 am to 10 pm.

The 405 rooms of the Holiday Inn offer two types of accommodation. The most recent human-size building offers 140 deluxe rooms with a classic decoration and adequate equipment to benefit from the necessary comfort. The superior rooms (first category here) of the grand building had been progressively renovated (till 2006) and currently offer a designer decoration, with an Asian touch of good taste. Made of teak, they are luxuriant and all have a view of the bathroom. They have a beautiful dressing, a tea and coffee kit, a safe and a 70 ft² balcony. You also will find an alarm, a telephone, a minibar and a satellite TV (26 channels including films). The bathroom is spacious and offers hairdryer, bathtub and welcome products.

Four restaurants are available to the guests of the Holiday Inn, and each of them has a very specific style: pizzas and Italian dishes outdoor close to the swimming pool at the Terrazzo; Chez Sam's steak house, international cuisine at the Sea Breeze Cafe and Thai cuisine at the Buzakorn, open from 6 am till midnight. Here you will find a beautiful mix of restaurants and bars by the swimming pool situated opposite the sea.

By the Andaman Sea, Patong public beach extends on the west side of the Holiday Inn, separated from the hotel by Taweewong street, an average size but busy street. Busy all year and especially in high season -winter months-, Patong Beach is not really a relaxing place. The number of beach chairs to be rented is high here. However, lovers of active holidays will find an important offer of any kind of water sports (a fee is required). The quality of the water and of the sand is satisfactory, and the beach level will pleased swimming lovers.
