International StandardVilla Togaro is a little holiday complex located on the slopes of Playa de las Americas. It consists of small bungalows with guest apartments measuring around 50m². The complex is not too big, and the gardens and external infrastructures are well maintained. A welcoming place, it offers a good range of services. On the downside, some of the rooms look over the car park of a shopping centre.
The hotel is located on the slopes of Playa de las Americas. The nearest beach is about a mile away, and it takes 20 minutes to walk there. This particular hotel complex is positioned in a residential district quite some way from the centre of Playa de las Americas. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful to relax without having to go out, this could well be the place for you. Everything has been thought out so that you never even need to leave the premises.
Between 10:00am and 5:00pm, a free shuttle bus will take you down to the nearest beach, which is about a mile away. The hotel has 4 rooms that have been specially designed for guests with reduced mobility. The vast majority of guests staying here are from Scandinavian countries.
The hotel has a lot of facilities, but because the complex is smaller than many other resorts of its kind, they tend to feel a bit packed together. However, this could be considered an advantage, because it means you don't have to walk miles from the tennis court to the swimming pool... The hotel has 2 pools, one of which is reserved for children. The second is pretty big, but in high season it still feels a bit too busy. Other activities available are miniature golf, table football, and archery. If you really want to relax, remember you've always got the sauna and jacuzzi.
The guest rooms would be better described as apartments. On entering the bungalow, you find yourself in a large lounge, part of which is given over to the kitchen and dining area. In the lounge there are 2 sofa beds and the walls are decorated with a few photos of islands. Otherwise, the decor is pretty minimalist, but this need not detract from your summer holiday. The bedroom has comfortable beds (new mattresses were installed in 2008) and the bedspreads with flower patterns add a bit of cheer to the otherwise understated surroundings. Every room has individual air conditioning and you can also hire the safe to the tune of about £ 2 per day. The bathrooms meet international standards. They are equipped with a large bathtub (or a jacuzzi in the superior category rooms), a hair dryer, and a beauty kit. In short, they are impeccable. The hotel extends a personalised welcome, and each guest is given a bouquet of flowers on arrival, which is a really nice gesture.
The restaurant serves buffet meals. Breakfast consists of a wide array of fresh dishes, fruit juices, and pastries. The ingredients used are simple but high quality. Meanwhile, lunch and dinner feature typical regional dishes and international cuisine, so there should be something to please all tastes! During high season, make sure you get there early to avoid the queues.
