Located in a residential neighbourhood a short distance away from Palma Bay and its large beautiful beach, the Leman hotel offers a quiet stay.
Not far from the new centre of Arenal, in the centre of the playa de Palma (table n°45), 7.5 miles away from Palma and 4 miles away from the airport, about fifteen minutes by car or bus.
The Leman welcomes a family clientele aged 35 to 70 years an average, mostly French and Dutch, German and Spanish.
Two bus stops are located about ten meters away from the hotel entrance and service runs every 10 minutes to the downtown of the capital, Palma. About 20 minutes driving.
Built in 1977, renovated in 1998, the Leman consists of a rectangular building with 7 floors but with trivial, unimpressive architecture, like the other hotels of the bay. But it is in a quiet neighbourhood, and has a peaceful atmosphere. It is located in the heart of the holiday resort of Maravillas, a bit quieter than those that face the sea and the club-hotels, and surrounded more by individual houses than by buildings. The owner of the establishment that controls it, makes sure the comfort for the clients is assured. The equipment and services are scanty: the restaurant offers only a semi-pension but room-service is available all day. A playground area for kids, ping pong and a billiard tables are located behind the swimming pool terrace but no day nursery is offered... However, there is a huge offering of bike rental. The fitness room as well as the sauna are included in the price.
The 98 rooms and 23 apartments are housed in one building. Pretty spacious (about 20$ m²), bright and very clean, their decoration is pretty simple. A few pale coloured paintings occupy the white walls, the furniture is made of beige modern wood and there is a light coloured tiling. All of them are equipped with individual air-conditioning, a safe (for an extra fee), satellite TV, telephone ( direct international line), a balcony. They all offer a view of the bay, but 28 rooms offer a front view, 25 from both the left and the right side overlook the sea and the street. A room service offers a few sandwiches and refreshments during the day.
The flowered restaurant room has a maximum capacity of 200 guests, it is well decorated with a large wall fresco made by the painter Antonio Riera, clean and enlightened by a glassed-in bay. It's quite a good size. The tables are not squeezed together as in some other places. The buffet offers breakfast and dinner - mostly international cuisine. At lunch, the clients can also eat at the snack-bar. Fortunately, the downtown has great little restaurants - a good alternative.
Located a hundred meters away from the hotel, the large beach of Palma Bay is very pretty, with clear water and fine sand. As a public and popular place, this city beach is very crowded and windswept in high season. Here you will find beach chairs and sunshades, nautical activities and lots of bars, small shops and restaurants. A beach that is a little more peaceful is available, set back from the centre.
